Just wait, I think from the chatter around that ND will withdraw from their commitment to the ACC. It wouldn't surprise me to see Fox pay more for the catholic 7 tv rights on FS1 than the what espn just gave the remnants of the Big East too.

Isn't there any deadline dates for people to move to a different conference, I can see someone waiting till August to change conference.

This changing conferences every 20 minutes is diluting the College football scene.

Usually moves are timed around July when the new fiscal year starts. Its looking like ND is going to stick with the ACC and are looking to move this year, but until its actually done, you never know anymore.

I have seen alot of college sports teams (and numerous other groups) do this.
Am I the only one that thinks that it is stupid? lol

Nope. I too think it is crazy, not so much for college students, but definitely for NBA players.

I'm not sure at this point that ANYBODY is a Top Notch opponent for them to open the seasons.

Two seasons out, so who knows. Alot can happen, and complacency can set in or ego can take over. Happened in 2010, which may have been one of our best teams talent wise over the past run we have had, but coming off of an undefeated NC season, they did not really play as a true team until the bowl game.

Appalachian State and Georgia Southern are taking their programs to the next level.
The two schools who've won a combined nine FCS championships in football are leaving the Southern Conference for the Sun Belt Conference, said a person familiar with the situation.
Appalachian State and Georgia Southern will join the Sun Belt in every sport except football beginning in 2014. The football programs will join in 2015, making the transition from the FCS to the FBS.
An announcement is scheduled for later this week.

Several former Auburn football players said that the program altered grades ensuring eligibility, offered several thousand dollars to entice future NFL draft picks to return for their senior seasons and violated NCAA recruiting rules, reports Roopstigo.com.
Former New York Times and Sports Illustrated columnist Selena Roberts reported that according to three former players, Auburn changed the grades of as many as nine players leading into the 2011 BCS national championship game, which Auburn won 22-19 over Oregon.
Each of the allegations occurred under coach Gene Chizik, who was fired after last season.

Bye bye 2011 BCS championship?

http://espn.go.com/college-football...s-football-players-failed-synthetic-pot-tests

I'm trying to figure the uproar and point of this article.
Evidently most of the Auburn team tested positive for sythetic marijuana (spice), and the university buried the results and didn't inform the parents.

My reaction is "so?"
At the time synthetic marijuana was not banned by the NCAA or Auburn, so BFD.
And as for telling the parents. These "kids" are legally adults. The school would actually be violating their rights (and possibly the law) by telling their parents without their permission.

Basically ESPN is running a hit piece to capitilize on recent allegation.

And how is that different than any other scandal that has been reported ?

I'm pretty sure they are not the only ones reporting it.
Actually, espn is not the outlet that broke the news anyways.

Conspicuously missing with them naming all these players is Cam Newton, ya the guy that was given 200,000 to show up and play for them.

waiting for this to come out.

The whole teams doing this synthetic marijuana and Cam wasn't ?
Ok.
