I have been reading that Michigan has put a nice class together as well. Hope it translates on the field
Unfortunately, they really needed to recruit a Top 5 head coach the past two iterations: the team should have appointed an interim coach in 2008 vice signing Rich "Let's see if I can steer the Titanic into that Iceberg because I am so way over my head" Rodriguez. Heck, they probably could have signed Jim Harbaugh if AD Bill Martin wasn't so completely clueless. Martin simply panicked after failing to sign Michigan alumnus Les Miles from LSU. Fast forward three kicked-in-the-pants years after 40+ winning seasons...as much as I like Brady Hoke, he's not going to get the job done at Michigan. I would love to keep him on the coaching staf - just not as the head coach.
If you were the Michigan AD would you try to sign Jim Tressel to lead the football program? Interesting thought. Michigan needs to focus more time and energy about how is leading the team vice who is playing on the field IMO.
