I know I'm a homer but the one helmet to helmet hit aside, I haven't seen it.

Right. That should have been called but I don't think that 15 yards will be the deciding factor in the game. Refs miss calls both ways every game. As a ND fan who doesn't care which team wins, I haven't noticed one sided refereeing tonight.

Wow im not one to usually complain about the refs and I really dont have a dog in this fight (no pun intended) but these refs clearly seem to want Alabama to win, and they are trying their hardest.
I've seen the usual missed holding calls, etc., but other than that one ignored personal foul against Bama, I think it's been called pretty evenly.

Would someone please fire Bobo now?!? That play should never have been called. The ball should have been downed, allowing 2 tosses into the endzone.

And if anyone says that was boring , quit watching football now !

I'm pretty sure all I've heard this season is crap is about these vaunted sec defenses.
So, where was the defense?

900yds of offense and 150 offensive plays, looks pretty much the same as Big 12 games. Guess those sec defenses were just a vicious rumor.

That has to be one of the most exciting ending to a football game that my wife and I have watched. Congrats to the Crimson Tide, though I was was rooting for the Bulldogs for no particular reason.

I don't know who else saw this, but it seemed a good time to post it:

I don't know, easy to say after the fact. Bama's D was on the ropes. No deflection and it might've worked, or gotten an interference and the ball on the one with a shot for the win. The Dawgs played a great game I think. Like to see the Irish put up a fight like that, but not sure they have the guns.

That was a great National title game.

Now we get to enjoy all the exhibition games..

The arrogance is sickening. I can't wait for the National Championship game to shut up the SEC elitists around here.

Living in a Big Ten state I don't understand the whole thing where the rest of the SEC schools act like they did something when one of them wins. I'm not a Michigan or Michigan State fan but around here people don't cheer for their rivals and they definitely don't act like the other Big Ten teams' wins are their wins. I didn't see many Michigan fans cheering for Michigan State during their bowl win over Georgia last year.

Lol. It's not as bad as some of the SEC posters on here, if they in fact are like that. There are plenty of SEC fans who never pull for other SEC teams, especially rivals and the ones that their teams have struggled with over the years. Me, I've never liked Florida, Alabama, and Ole Miss, and have never pulled for them (okay, maybe Florida the year they played Ohio State in the MNC, but that was it). I'll be pulling for the Irish, especially since I got to experience one of their games this season. Still have my doubts that they can handle Bama's defense though.

That may be true and ND may lose. I personally think they have a shot but I guess that's not actually the point. The point is the SEC love is weird. Even if Bama wins that means exactly nothing for his gators.

Its about having pride.. There is a reason why the SEC fills the ranks of the top 10 every year. Our reputation against OOC teams has been proven time and time again. So why wouldnt we support our fellow SEC teams against OOC teams? When Alabama beats the Irish and makes it 7 in a row for the SEC it makes it easier for all the teams in the SEC to get higher rankings. I wanted GA to win against Alabama (even though GA is a bigger rival to FLA) Because that would make FLAs only loss was to the SEC Champion. Helping our ranking. In the landscape that is college football and the ranking system, one has to have a strong conference to have a shot at the national title.

The reason a 1 loss team from the big12, pac12, big10 etc is not going to the National title game, but a 1 loss SEC team will be, is because of our overall ranking.

SEC SEC SEC SEC

Bring on Oregon in the Sugar bowl!! GO GATORS!!!

To add on to my other post, it means a lot for the gators. Specially in next years rankings.

I look at it completely different. I look at it in terms of recruiting. Both the Gators and Bama can recruit Louisiana players very well, taking talent away from my team. The worse they are, the better the chances of LSU picking up top instate recruits. I also have a problem letting go of grudges, always have. ;) :D

To change the topic, after Georgia's performance against Bama tonight, I feel they deserve the Sugar Bowl birth now. I think they've proven they're the second best team in the SEC and are worthy of the at-large bid. And they beat Florida to boot.

Ya but if fla, bama all suck LSU cant get into a national title game, recruits will then go to big10 country or some other place. A strong conference makes recruiting easier.
