Duke and UNC have surprised me this year....Duke more than anyone but you can see what happened when VT gets its act together which they did against Clemson - the stats sheet prove that, go look. As salsa stated with the refs of the Miami game, the Refs at the Clemson game were horrible - logan wasn't going down when he threw to a wide open 6 point getting receiver and the ball was out way before clemson fumbled with vt recovering but they didn't over turn it when the guys calling the game were all up in arms over both calls - there were more but its annoying to discuss. I don't like using refs as an excuse and it really isn't as the game is over but man WTF!
Salsa and I can only hope we have a good ref group coming into the Miami/VT game next Thursday night so at least the teams can play each other without issues.

I am a little surprised that West va is still in either poll. Sure, only two losses, but they were BLOWOUTS.

If Im not mistaken, South Carolina was number 7 right? I dont follow the college game that well but I thought South Carolina was good. Its impressive that Florida crushed a team that high in the rankings.
Not a big fan of Norte Dame? I root for Notre Dame. I have no ties to the school. I mean I didnt go there or anything but its nice to see Norte Dame back in its glory days.
Salsa, I had the game on in the background and it seemed like Miami started off well but they couldnt hang with FSU. FSU just pulled away in the second half.

Jimbo, considering where Norte Dame was in the past few years, I consider this there glory days so far. They could plummet by losing to Oklahoma and USC. I say glory days because when was the last time Norte Dame was ranked number 5?
Honestly, as far as Notre Dame goes, I think this weekend will end that nonsense. They have surprised alot of people, but the schedule will catch up with them, and this is the start of it IMO.
Some great matchups this weekend though. The Oklahoma/ND game. The cocktail party. Bama vs Miss State. T Tech/Kansas State.

Not that it matters, but why Miss State? I would think that you would want Bama to be undefeated as an opponent in the SEC champ game as it would help you more than a Bama loss this weekend. If you were confident about a win that is.

Well regardless of who we face in the SECCG If we win that game we will be in the BCS title game.
I want Bama to lose because id like to watch the west burn!! I also like the underdog story of Miss st. They have really done some changes to go from middle/bottom to looking like a rising star. Id like Miss st to beat Bama, and LSU to beat miss st, and LSU to beat bama. So we could play LSU again

I'm looking forward to Michigan playing at Nebraska this Saturday. The winner has the inside track to winning the Big Ten Leaders Division. Elsewhere, the Buckeyes playing at Penn State is a huge game. If Braxton Miller isn't 90%, the Buckeyes don't win. After a terrible start PSU is playing some very good football.
