This game between Miami and ND is SO big down here. EVERYONE ever associated with The U will be watching. IF the "Baby Canes" can pull this off...this will be a good sign that Al Golden is slowly bringing this team back to the national spotlight. It will be tough, with 17 freshman starting or playing significant minutes on offense and defense. Like I said last week, they WILL make mistakes and for how many big plays they make, they wil give up big plays as well.

When Miami was at it's highest point...NOBODY out recruited them in the most fertile football state in the country. Alonzo Highsmith, former Cane and current exec with the Packers stated this morning that recruits and coaches are constantly asking him and others as to how is Miami doing and what's going on as far as the football program. Love them or hate them, things are alot more fun when they are relevent.

I am super excited about this game...WOW!

Maybe they will have more than 500 people at the stadium this weekend. oh wait its in Chicago so probably ;P

Fans are still pessimistic about the team. And they do not have the following of the big state schools like UF & FSU. Those schools have 5 times the student as Miami.

Oops! Maybe Texas didn't beat OSU with a last minute touchdown.

Big-12 officials call Mike Gundy to apologize for blown call.

What is BS is they didn't reverse the game as in who won. This was the same thing that happened last year in the Sugar Bowl. The guy in charge of the refs calling that game and the replay booth agreed said so in interviews that the catch by Danny Coale in the end zone should have never been over turned. Now that may not have decided the outcome but the flipping of the call was just amazing.

Someone needs to look at these game or near game deciding plays and make the needed adjustments for the outcome as it means everything at the end of the season if that team is playing for something like a bowl game, conf div title or national title shot.

Interesting, but I have not seen the Big 12 confirm this.

Even if they actually did, the win will still stand.

Well winning helps. Miami in the 80s and even 90s used to sell out all the time. Fans get tired of supporting a loser for so many years. Specially like in Miamis case when it does not have the student base, and alumni base to sustain itself in the down years like say Michigan does (which sells out even though they ahve sucked for many years) or better example Penn state. We all know their problems but that stadium is still pretty darn full.

But schools like you mention...even when they had their down years...they were packed because that is the only game in town. Cities like Ann Arbor, Happy Valley and alot of the big school town and small cities..when it comes to sports...there is nothing else. If you look, very few of the big cities have big time college football.

Gators staying Toe to Toe with the Tigers. Our offenses biggest challenge yet and we are having trouble moving the ball that LSU rush defense is fast. Hopefully we get make some adjustments at the half and spread the field open more.

It's been a hell of a game so far and Florida has finally scored. Little better protection of the QB for that last drive. Defense working well on both sides.

LSU & UF, great defensive battle so far. I'm sure the no defense leagues (...12) are finding it boring :p

Hokies falling apart against the Tarheels.

Man had to go to my grandson's b/day party and didn't figure there was much use to record the VT UNC game.Thought for sure VT would win pretty easily.Turned on the radio on my way home and had to do a double take when I heard the score!

Heels 48 Hokies 34!! Nice win for the Tarheels.

Well in LSU's defense, FLAS defense is quite possibly the 2nd best defense in the SEC. 2 NFL ready Corners and a Linebacker that would start on most NFL teams; Hard to throw or rush against that kind of coverage. But yes LSU QB has looked shocked. (which happens when you get sacked like 10 times and always have someone in your face)
