They already ban student parking on east campus on sat. mornings becasue of saturday games. Banned student/staff on a school day is awful. At least with mid--week basketball, only the commuter lots near the tit and o-keefe gym are reserved for paid parking. But doing that with all of east campus for a thursday game is madness. And why the students hate those games. As do most fans in the area, as driving into downtown Atlanta is awful on afternoons. God forbid there's a Braves game going on, that really makes things bad on I-75 south of the connector. Since Blacksburg is in the middle of nowhere y'all don't have those issues, but being in a real city Tech does.

So much for Stanford competing for the National title like Mark May was hinting at before the game started and Wilbon on PTI saying that the PAC10 was the best conference in football. He is way off.
I thought abouth that too afterwards...Mark May and the other's comments before the game I mean. They were all on the Stanford bandwagon and totally dismissing Washington as having a chance, hardly brought them up at all until the very end by mentioning their problems playing at LSU earlier this season.

Just goes to show you how unpredictable conference play can be (LSU @ Auburn?). Sometimes you have to throw out the records and stats when certain teams meet. :)

Problem is, is it really a weak conference, or a strong conference beating itself up? I tend to base how a conference is by how it plays other conferences. Until they play real OOC games, can't say which it definitively is.

Well the Pac 12 has certainly beat up the Big 10 this year, and even won its SEC games (all be it the bottom of the SEC)

You always have to do that specially with conference play. I mean you play the team the same time 100 times eventually they will get a win. I mean unless its Kentucky v FLA :p (allthough to be fair we have not hit the 100 game in a row mark yet)

But ya, Ole Miss did the same thing to FLA during its national title run, Vanderbilt is known to be a spoiler to.

VT just tells students that vehicles must be moved after a certain time on days classes are in session - but its never really that much of an issue. Blacksburg may be in the middle of no where and I can certainly understand how Atlanta is laid out as I have a brother in law living there and been to the stadium, however the parking in Blacksburg can be just as bad cept most land owners/home owners rent out their yards for tailgaters which sit around the stadium. For the GT game I was located at this church directly behind the stadium - Location A (circled in picture). I don't normally go here as I normally go to location B( circled in picture) that is catered from the Hokie Club (member of) but that church is where a bunch from my home town go so my cousin and I did that instead that day.

There are no homeowners near Grant Field, it's all dorms and administration buildings. The only private places on that side of I75/85 are the projects (no one is parking there), and on the other side is commercials buildings that really don't have any parking (BofA building, Fox Theatre, AT&T Building, etc...). So all the students get banished to West Campus, while all of East Campus is researved for paid parking.

Watching this high school game on ESPNU is fun.. The #1 RB recruit in the nation (a Florida recruit) Kelvin Taylor playing against the number 2 running back recruit in the Nation, Henry.. Who is committed to Alabama.

These two kids are beasts.

The Miami Hurricane team has 17 freshman starters in offense and defense... they are young and they will make mistakes...but they will be fun to watch.

Wow...The U's Steven Morris is lighting up NC State and the all-American CB for over 250 passing and 3 TDs...with 4 minutes left in the 1st quarter.

I hate Miami, but I'll be rooting like hell for them next week.

GT is just falling completely apart since last week and the Miami loss - Middle Tenn just put a pounding on them.

They were playing very very good up till last week with great defense but just seems that part of the team never got off the bus as of last week.

Great defense? GaTechs Defense has sucked for years and continues to suck. When an FCS school can put up 49 points against you, your defense is horrible.
