NCAA Football 2011-2012

Nice win by The U in Chapel Hill. IF, they can get by GT this weekend, things will get very interesting in the ACC.

I don't see "U" beating GT... sorry just don't see it and even if they did I don't think it will mean much considering UVA's spanking they gave to GT on Saturday. The coastal is pretty damn near decided since VT plays BC this weekend (easy game), then Duke (easy game) and the only thing left is UNC and GT with GT maybe..and I stress maybe being the hardest game left with a finish up at UVA. At this point dude I'd be concerned with Miami becoming Bowl Eligible let alone make the ACC race interesting.

LMAO.... by the simple fact the Clemson spanked your VaTech, then Virginia beating GT, Clemson just getting by Maryland and an unexpected tough Wake Forest team goes to show you there are "easy games" when we are talking conference games.

Someone thought in the NFL thread the 49ers would not be tough enough for the Lions at Detroit..

...."easy game”.....LMAO!

But you are entitled to think that way I guess...

Well its not secret that Clemson exposed a bunch of issues that I believe got addressed really quick that VT had....playing a bunch of weak teams ahead of them didn't help either but it is what it is....but I'm just telling ya not as a hater of Miami cause any other time when not playing VT I pull for em..they are a good team, I just don't see them getting past GT as even though UVA got what you say "lucky" - GT just looks to have a more solid team.

So there is a whole lot and I mean A LOT that needs to happen for Miami to even consider thoughts back into the Coastal race..but as I said looking at their schedule left its very possible they may be on the edge of getting into a bowl game let alone making the ACC race interesting. As a fan of the ACC you and I both don't think we need the ACC teams to hurt in the polls any more than they are and we need teams like Clemson and VT to keep on winning to keep increasing in those BCS polls that are now out. Talking to a Clemson fan the other day that I know we look at both teams meeting again but its possible both could be in the top5 or around the Top5 at that point with all the upsets that are very possible in the top 10 right now.

I want to remind you that I am NO FAN of the conference love you guys go nuts about. I mean really, you hate a team ALL YEAR because they are in the conference...but the moment that team plays another in a bowl...you love them cause they're in your conference? What happened to "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"? LOL!

The U has only ONE problem, their defense. They are young and WAY too overly aggresive(which equals ALOT of penalties and missed tackles) and the new defensive system Golden is trying to implement with players he did not recruit, is not working because he has the wrong players for his system. Offensively, Miami can score with ANY team in the country. BUT, you need a stop every once in a while to win big games...and the defense has not done that often enough.

You won't see Miami be anything for a few more years if that... Golden needs time to recruit his own for his own playing style and this years hits on players that broke NCAA rules in the past took a toll on what he could do if anything. As for Miami's Offense scoring with ANY team in the country...I believe that, they scored alot against VT's Defense and opened up holes that shouldn't have come open so yeah they are playing good.

I think the thing now is to control the players... hitting below the belt gets ya suspended so I heard lol

Well, Miami have a very good recruiting class coming in with many stating they will still come regardless of what happens. Miami still has quite a few juniors and sophmores starting so they can only improve.

As far as what happens to Miami due to the scandal. From what is being said around the 3 local radio sports shows, alot of it cannot be proven. And in the end, no matter how wonderfully scandalous accusations my sound...it what you can prove.

What happend with the low blow happens in almost every game. It's always a matter of someone getting caught. This idiot, got caught and rightfully will pay the circumstances.

I tell ya the best games lately have been those of ranked teams playing unranked teams.... more action for the upset to happen.

Anybody who has seen Rudy knows that it was in the movie, doesnt mean it was fact. ;) (not saying it wasnt, or isnt)

Speaking of ND football, looks like they're the reason the Big East is falling apart. At least in one coach's opinion:

"If Notre Dame had come in as a football and basketball school when they came in, we wouldn't have a problem. Miami wouldn't have left. Virginia Tech wouldn't have left. Boston College wouldn't have left. We probably wouldn't have any of these issues, would we?" Auriemma said.

"We've got one school that holds the future of our league in the palm of their hand and they're not really that concerned about it," Auriemma said. "They're looking out for their best interest and I don't blame them. But join us in football and then look out for your best interest. I applaud that. Every school has a right to do that. I just don't like the way we've gone about it."

And I agree with him 100%. The farce partial joining of the conference was BS from day one. BUT, the Big East brass has no one to blame but themselves for allowing it! THAT was the day I lost all desires to the fanboy stuff for a conference.

Big East Expansion?

When will Ohio State get the final resolution from the NCAA?
