I like your thinking, but your WAY off here.
IF the person programming the computer likes Va Tech then he could easily sway the figures in that direction.

Again this point is irrelevant as you would have out side sources see the programming - each team is geared towards numbers - those numbers can be anonymously generated. The programming today is just outstanding with so many different directions you can go so long as the comps are kept off the grid and whats punched in each week as for stats and I mean not just scores but also Total offensive yards, Defensive yards the other team didn't get, etc etc all this being triple entered or inspected however you wish to do it you could control the bias outcome up to 99.999% which is far better than I bet the 20% we now have cause even Nick Saban came out and said for poll voters to pick the best teams - he knows the system is flawed big time with voters not wanting to either pick the best team, not pick a team that has already lost to LSU ( which imo already proves they are not #1) or whatever you want to put it. He along with so many know the system is so flawed you need to take the human factor out and stay to the numbers if it event creates a whole new system with checks and balances.
