NCAA Football 2009-10 Season

A&M can do no wrong through the air.

They'll be a team to watch next year, but their defense MUST play better.

The offense is bailing their D out tonight.

I don't think A&M has quite enough to beat Texas tonight, but they are keeping up with them offensively any ways.

A&M's D has come up to make plays and stop drives occasionally, but with NO D, you get the ball every 5 minutes so there are a lot more offensive plays than a typical game.

I'm sorry, but if you give up 40+ points to an UN RANKED team, you DON'T deserve to play for the MNC ....

This just in, Jimbo- these teams can actually move the ball, something that your Big Ten can't do well.

It's ironic- you bash the Big 12 for playing no defense, yet you support a conference that has no offense.

Remember, Bama won a game by kicking four field goals and doing little else- how is that the mark of a great team?

DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS !!!

DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS !!!

Come on now, you are sounding like the ESPN guys now. :D

While having a good defense is important, so is having an offense that can move the ball and score. When is the last time you saw a team win with zero points?

As to the Texas & A&M game, an offensive shootout was more fun to watch than a defensive struggle, for most people. If it had been a 3-0 game, am betting that most would have turned it off well before it was over, while am betting that most stayed tuned till the end.

As far as rivalry games have gone this year, this one has to be at the top of the list for entertainment of fans, nationally. The game was certainly a lot more fun to watch than the tOSU vs. Michigan game was (even to my Buckeye wife). :)

Consider the Miami teams of yore.

They had great defense, but in their 5 title-clinching games, they scored 31, 20, 33, 22, and 37 points- an average of 28.6 PPG.

THOSE Miami teams were the teams, IF you were a fan, you loved. They had great defenses that "hunkered down" when they needed to. When a BIG defensive play was needed....they got it. But they did give up points on occassion.

My bama boys are getting their asses handed to them so far. They are looking to florida, Auburn came to play.

Reminds me of the utah game so far. Hope they get it together soon, if not....

Unlike last year, Auburn has an actual offense this year.

There's a difference between the Tiger offense of last year and this year.

Yeah, the offense is alot better. Bama is starting to play a little now, but emotions play into these games. Auburn has it, bama hasnt so far. They tied it up on talent only so far.

Well, as I type we got the ball back!!!

Stopped on 3 & 1, and then 4th &1. Auburn just showed real defense.

Though part of me is somewhat shocked the SEC officials didn't "give" it a better spot. ;)

Once again, a rivalry game proves that rankings are meaningless and that anything goes.

Cal-Stanford last week, Texas/Texas A&M last night, Pitt/West Virginia today.

Pitt had the better record, but two interceptions and one long TD run proved the key.
