NCAA Football 2009-10 Season

An away win is good no matter how close the game is.

But was it questionable? I saw the replays, and the guy did hold.

Hold - yes.

In endzone? questionable (meaning, where did the hold start, etc)

Also - late in a tied game? even more questionable...

If it's a hold, it's a hold. The replay I saw showed the hold in the end zone, therefore a good call. That it was near the end of a tied game shouldn't matter.

Or should refs stop calling penalties in the last couple of minutes?

Oh, I agree. Neither of them have really done anything so far, but by that same token, what has Uconn done to prove them as above the level of these two?

Ole Miss:
@ Memphis W45-14
SE LA W52-6
@ SC L 10-16

SC:
@ NC St W7-3
@ Georgia L41-37
FAU W38-16
Miss W16-10

UConn
@Ohio W23-16
UNC L 10-12
@Baylor W30-22

Neither of UConn's W's have been as close as the score indicated, either.

I'll let everyone else be the judge of whom has proven what

Sorry Hancox but the Big East is not going to get any respect until they win a BCS National Championship, heck just play in the game.

...and WVU was || that close to doing it, too.

Of course, a loss to an unranked Pitt team knocked them out. And, of course, a similar loss by most other conference teams wouldn't (see participants last year)

Florida & Oklahoma's loses last year were to ranked teams (#14 Ole Miss & #3 Texas).

Yep,

#1 FSU beat #2 Va Tech in the 2000 Sugar Bowl
#1 Miami beat #2 Nebraska in the 2002 Rose Bowl
#2 Ohio St. beat #1 Miami in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl

Ok, my bad. All these SEC wins in a row was clouding my memory. :D

I would say SC has done the most so far.

YEP....ever since Miami and VaTech left to the ACC, the football conference has never been the same.

You're right - those damn teams from the old inferior Big East keep winning the damn conference :)

Some things never change, though - BC still chokes.
