NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

2002? In college football years, uh...yes.

The last two years have all but wiped out a lot of respect for the Big10, due in most part to tOSU's poor performance in the MNC. If Penn State finishes undefeated and wins the MNC, I, as many others, will again believe the Big10 is as strong as it once was. Until then, smack the SEC, Big12, Pac10, etc., and you'll get smacked back. ;)

Even if Penn State wins the MNC , that doesn't mean the Big Ten is good this year, it means that Penn State is good this year.
You guy's do the same thing every year in the SEC, the team that wins it is the team that won, NOT everyone in the conference, that doesn't mean that they are ALL good teams just because one team one the championship.

The Big Ten is definatly down this year, we've known that for quite awhile now.

Other than Ohio State and a reborn Virginia team, who the hell has USC played?

You want to talk about a pathetic schedule; look at USC.

Besides, as a Tech fan, it's one thing to lose to a top 10 team, but another to lose to an unranked and average Oregon State team (cough USC cough)

Do I dare say USC is a team with a soft schedule? HELL YEAH!

Tech comes from a great conference; Southern Cal plays in a very mediocre conference.

I've been questioning for a long time, why USC is as high as they are, your right, they have a very easy schedule outside of OSU and Virginia

Talk about a team that has not played anyone .... ND is 5-2 and should win the rest with the exception of USC.

Now you're starting to sound like Sabres in making such bold predictions! :D

I have actually come through with some of my predictions.

In the summer, I predicted Gameday would be at the Texas/Texas Tech game in Lubbock, and nobody believed me.

In August, I said Cleveland would beat the Giants and that they would prove that a preseason rout is meaningless.

Don't forget your "Auburn is a fraud" prediction.

I'll give ya the Cleveland / NY Giants one. :up

The Gameday for Lubbock is NO BIG DEAL, I don't know what your obsession is with where Gameday is.
Who cares.

I'll make the argument that an undefeated Penn State doesn't deserve to play for the national championship over either a one loss SEC or one loss Big 12 team. Going undefeated means nothing when you play a weak schedule, People act like that's such an accomplishment. If you don't play a competitive schedule, then how are we supposed to respect your team? I don't compare records, I compare teams. I mean, look at Hawaii last year. Undefeated Hawaii didn't compare to a two loss SEC team.

Auburn has a few more than 2 losses....but no, Tulsa doesn't impress me. Classic underdog story, that inevitably ends with the wonderfully underrated, barn barning little team going up against footballs version of goliath, getting a dose of reality. (with the exception of Boise State against Oklahoma, but I'm beginning to believe that anyone that showed up against Bob Stoops in a BCS game would out-coach him, even if the only prior experience that person had was choosing plays on the old Nintendo's "John Elway's Quaterback" game....)

Thats all we need, ND win the rest (except USC and maybe Pitt) and they suddenly expect to go to a BCS game.

ND always expect to go to a BCS game.

The one thing I always didn't like was that ND isn't in a division, they are still independent. But all there other sports are in the Big East, well if the Big East was smart they should of told ND that if the football team doesn't come to the Big East, all there other sports can't come to the Big East.

I agree, but we all know now that ND football is S p e c i a l :what
