NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

Thoughts on early games:

1. Graham Harrell is a BEAST

2. Wisconsin is overrated

3. Vandy may have lost, but they are NOT an easy opponent to beat- if you play them, do not expect any more routs like the old days

The Washington State Cougars are as bad a team I have ever seen.

If Bill, Sandra and myself played as QB, RB, and WR in a 3-on-11 scrimmage, we'd look like Aikman, Smith and Irvin- they are THAT bad.

Sabres,
I just put the USC-WSU game on.

I see what you mean ...................what will the final score be: 70-7 Trojans ????????

Here's what really surprises me:

the last time they went to Pullman, Wash., in 2006 while ranked No. 3, they had to knock down a desperation pass near the goal line on the final play to beat Washington State 28-22.

They came within a hail-mary of victory a few years back? Talk about a complete role reversal.

Maryland, IMO, is in the driver's seat in their ACC division.
Not so fast my friend. Remember that's a Maryland team that lost to Middle Tennessee and was shutout by Virginia. They've got a couple more bad games left in them. If BC wins tonight there will be a 4 way tie for 1st in the Atlantic division. Wide open.

Ohio St. looking very impressive, but they just dodged a bullet on a potential fumble deep in MSU territory.

21-0 Buckeyes, on the road in East Lansing, against a very good Spartans team!

27-0 Trojans with 12:25 still remaining in the 2nd quarter!!!

When this season is all said and done, would anyone be surprised by an Ohio St.-USC rematch for the MNC? I know, I wouldn't be.

At this rate, I expect the season-ending Washington State/Washington Apple Cup to be maybe as bad a game as you'll see.

One combined win, lots of injuries, too many points given up- who on Earth will watch THAT?

I agree! I'm also glad to see Pryor showing great signs of improvement since last week against Purdue. Go Bucks!

Shocker of the day, IMO, is in Iowa City.

(I knew A&M would play Tech close- I never had this being lopsided- and I'm not surprised Maryland's winning- I think they can win their division)

Iowa is beating Wisconsin 38-9!

I guess that collapse at Ann Arbor is still in their heads.

Wisconsin reminds me of the '07 Michigan Wolverines. They never really recovered mentally since an early game they should've won. (In '07, Michigan never recovered from the loss to App. State. This year, Wisconsin can't seem to get over that Michigan loss).

That game will be U-G-L-Y, and played before family and friends.

I get the feeling that almost 98% of the country is rooting against Ohio State.

Kind of reminds me of how most of America felt about the Buffalo Bills during their last few years in their Super Bowl run.

28-0 Bucks!

The Buckeyes are beating up on a ranked team and the Trojans are beating up on cupcakes. Unfortunately, I still don't see us making up substantial ground in the polls.
