Isn't it convenient that the SEC team gets a home game for the NC game.

Is the other team alloted ANY tickets ?

Jimbo

LMAO....again with this...YOU are gonna blame who for this?? THAT is the rotation when it comes to bowl games. Geez, Jim....you gotta REALLY give this a rest.

Well we will be glad to have you come up here and play the NC game, see you would not want a home game for us either......

It's just sickening that the teams get home games for thier bowl games..... lets at least play on a neutral field.

Well, I willmake sure the BCS has a game in NORTH.

If you lose to a Ron Zook coached team, you should not be allowed to play for a championship. If your conference has a Ron Zook coached team in a BCS game, your conference should be disbanded.

Now I am just kidding (mildly), But Illinois going to the Rose bowl just shows how flawed the system is, time to get rid of the 2 max per conference rule.

What IS it with you guys....they a eligable because....the best team in the conference is playing in the NCG...and the 2nd best team gets to go the Rose Bowl. I mean some of guys come up with the goofiest $h*t....

well good luck to everyone in their bowl games .

my team is going to the cotton bowl , not that they deserve to be there, but you all know the name of the game "money"

they will be playing a great looking Missouri Team.

The VT team that got beat by LSU is not the same VT team playing now. We would have way more than 2 losses if we didnt improve. Not to mention all of the injuries we had at the line. Our O-line was in pieces. Our losses came against RANKED BCS teams, which just happened to be #2s. We ended up beating one of the teams we lost to, which was still ranked #11. Maybe had we been given the opportunity to rematch the other team we lost we coulda proved we deserved it. However the media sticks with the "good ole boy" teams and continues to call us "Vaaaa Tech".

Not that I nessecarily believe VT should be in the NC, but they are ranked #1 in the computer polls. The jumps LSU made in the polls doesnt make sense to me. #6 beats #11 and #7 beats #14 and somehow #7 jumps #6? OSU is a product of good timing. Getting beat by a UNRANKED team late in the season and then plays the waiting game, sneaking up while not playing. IMO if LSU is healthy by Jan 7, OSU will get beat like last year.

Anyways, I'm happy with the Orange bowl and being #3. I'm not exactly sure why the OB picked KU to play us. Yet another mystery of the BCS.

I would LOVE to see a playoff with the top 4. Give 5-10 BCS bowls and have the playoff at the 4th bowl site. There has been too many seasons with more than 2 teams deserving the top game.

Actually the Rose Bowl didn't have to take Illinois they could have chosen another team, like Georgia or Kansas, but they wanted to keep it Pac10/Big10.

The real question is why did the Orange Bowl choose Kansas instead of Missouri. Missouri's strength of schedule was in the top30 while Kansas was over 100th

Yeah, MU is ranked ahead of 5 of the BCS bowl teams including Kansas.

When was the last time the #1 team lost in the last week and wasn't in a BCS bowl?

Congratulations Jimbo, and to all the rest of you tOSU fans - your Buckeyes have made it to the MNC after all the smoke has cleared! As for my Tigers, well...from now on I will be a Pitt Panther fan somewhere in my heart. :) And to all those so-called sports analysists that say the top two teams aren't in the championship - blow me!

I wouldn't worry about the "home game for LSU" stuff. In fact, after watching both teams quite a lot this year, I think the Buckeyes match up to LSU better than they do any other team in the SEC. In fact, the Bucknuts are in the exact position Florida was in last year at this time if you ask me. They will be hearing how they have no chance against LSU in the Dome, how fast the SEC is compared to the Big2, how tOSU has never beaten an SEC team in a bowl game (that's interesting ), and on and on. In other words, they'll be hearing everything they need to hear to fire them up! I mean, what have they got to lose? I'd be lying if I said I wasn't more than a little worried about this game. Still, should be fun to watch. :up

And yes, I think they will alot tOSU around 2 thousand tickets or so (just kidding) :D.

Geaux Tigers!!!

I can't understand this one either. How does a team ranked #1 in the nation at the time they are playing in their conference championship game, get overlooked to a team they beat in their division when it comes to the BCS? This alone proves they need to scrap the entire mess for a playoff.

Missouri does get the best consolation prize, getting to play Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl.

I just wish the season had another week in it. OU is peaking now, and maybe they could have gotten up to the top. Watch out next year. :)

I can't understand some of the picks either. Heck I think if Hawaii somehow beats Georgia, how can they not be National Champs? Forget the fact they aren't in the "BCS" championship. They could still end up being the AP National Champs.

I agree with Ramy. This is where a split national championship can suddenly come into play. Everyone's saying how good Georgia is now (although some of this is due to beating teams that were beaten down by others), and how Hawaii hasn't played anyone. If Hawaii beats Georgia in the Sugar, what then? They've beaten one of the top SEC teams in the country according to the very same pollsters that say Hawaii is not!

If either LSU or tOSU barely squeak past the other in the MNC, and Hawaii wins, it'll be interesting to see what, if anything, happens.

Oh, I think Hawaii WILL be Georgia...they are gonna pull a Boise State....AGAIN.

This is the scenario I was hoping for: 1 of the teams in NCG with 2 LOSES. The PERFECT scenario is Hawaii BLOWING OUT Georgia and either LSU or Ohio State squeak by. LMAO!!!:haha:haha:haha Let's see the BCS explain this one.

Now, please be aware that I am not laughing about teams getting screwed over. The MORE the chaos, the closer we get to a LEGIT PLAYOFF SYSTEM.

Here's a link to how each coach voted. Pretty interesting. Some were more than a little biased, don't you think (Stoops)? Imagine that.

USATODAY.com - USATODAY.com - 2007 final Top 25 football coaches' ballots
Granted that Bob Stoops' vote was self-serving, what about the Bowdens' votes, Mike Bellotti and Howard Schnellenberger? How can all of them vote Kansas and Missouri above OU? Didn't Missouri beat Kansas? Didn't OU beat Missouri? Twice? I know Howard is clueless, but the others?

Because they think Kansas will bring in more money than Missouri, why do you think Notre Dame got the Sugar Bowl last year? WVU deserved to go to the Sugar Bowl instead of Notre Dame, but they bring in more money.
