NCAA Championship Week

Does anyone else think that all these Number One seeds and other teams that are assured of a spot in the NCAA tournament don't really care about these conference tourneys ? They know that they are in and they decide to take the extra rest. That way they also assure that some of the bubble teams in their conference, that they want no part of, have one less chance of getting in. I still think that the 8th or 9th team in any of the top conferences deserves to be in more then the teams that will play in Dayton next week. Too many schools have declared that they are 1A in basketball just to get their share of the big money pie. This waters down the competition for the big boys, who now have had the 2 or 3 days extra rest. Just venting , but this is the way I feel.

I will say this: winning a conference tournament doesn't automatically equal NCAA Tournament success.

Kentucky in 1996, Maryland in 2002, Syracuse in 2003, UNC in 2005, and I'm sure there are other examples.

I know some teams have blown off their conference tournaments in the past, but most do not. If you saw that Oklahoma-Oklahoma St game I can assure you that Oklahoma did not intend to lose.

What a game! Devendorf missed getting that off by 0.1 of a second. 2 buzzer beaters, almost, in one day at the BE Tournament. I love it.
