West Virginia leading Pitt by 8 with 12 mins remaining.
Tech upsets A&M
Baylor upsets Kansas
Now Oklahoma St. is leading OU with four minutes left in regulation
Even Texas beating K-State was a "seed" upset.
Pitt is still in line for a #1 seed.I don't know what to make of what is happening to Pittsburgh.
On one hand, I want to yell and scream, "I'M SICK OF SEEING THE BEST TEAMS GET ELIMINATED EARLY AND THE TOURNAMENT BEING REPRESENTED BY TEAMS NOT AS GOOD!"
On the other hand, winning the conference tournament doesn't automatically guarantee a great NCAA tournament. As well, losing early is not a deathblow.
Great- now we have the possibility of an inferior conference champ!
Why even have these tournaments then?
Look at last year and Georgia.
There is no way anyone can convince me Georgia was a worthy and deserving champ based on what happened prior to the tournament.
Why are you complaining? These games have been great. And yes they do matter. You think WV and Oklahoma St wanted to lose 3 times to their arch rivals? This is what makes college basketball so special. It gets settled on the floor. Sabres you're the one who complains endlessly about the preferential treatment USC gets in football and how you hate seeing them in the Rose Bowl every year. Now you don't like upsets? This is the worst championship week I can ever recall.
I guess it pays to be mediocre.
