Three of the top five sec and most likely one of the top two will play the other two in the next two games.

If not the next one in line is also a top ten bcs team.

Yeah sec is down this year. Lol

I'm shocked on how NIU jumped Fresno State for that BCS Buster spot. Sure both have had bad schedules, but Fresno has played more legit teams (Rutgers, Boise State, San Diego State) than NIU (Iowa and.........?).

Which one of them do you call legit ?
Rutgers has 5 losses.
Boise St and SDS both have 4 losses.

The MAC is tougher than the Mountain West.

Ball State, Bowling Green, and Toledo would beat Fresno State and thats not including NIU.

and NIU whooped up on Purdue. Whoops, Purdue has won one game this year. "Tougher" is such a strong word, how about they are better than some high school districts, as long as you pick the right areas in the right states? :)

So I did some math and I found the W-L records for all of the opponents on each team combined. Here's what I found.

Fresno State Opponents' W-L record (Not counting FCS teams)- 43 Wins and 66 Losses

Out of 109 games, 39.5% of their opponents' games are wins.

Northern Illinois Opponents' W-L record (Not counting FCS teams)- 42 Wins and 80 Losses

Out of 122 games, 34.4% of their opponent's games are wins.

I think by just looking at the W-L totals, Fresno's got the edge :cool: Take that for proof. :)

Slightly.

Heres what they should do is have these two teams play one another in their bowl game.

I find it interesting that Missouri is thought very highly while being in the sec, but last year when they were in the Big 12 they weren't thought of as highly.

There was a good chance that they could have ended up in the Big Ten as well.

Suppose they would have been another also ran in the Big Ten according to the sec lovers/media

I was going to mention that, but I didn't really want to hear more sec bible thumping about how Missouri suddenly brought in all these top dollar sec recruits in the last year so they could compete

They were in the sec Last year. And sucked.

This season they are much improved, have had some good recruits , and have the advantage of catching the east and the top teams on that side with lots of injuries. (Not to take away from what they have done this year )

Last year Mizzou stunk it up. This year they are winning. It is pretty simple guys:)

It's been Mizzou's modus operandi for decades. They are good for 2-3 years, then they have a down cycle of 2-3 years before another recruiting class cycles them up again.

Well sometimes it takes a year for the dose of SEC speed to take. Case in point. Missouri. :D

So it took 1 year to get to the Top of the sec ..... I thought they were better than that and that no other schools outside of the sec could possibly handle the sec.

Top of the sec? They still may not even win their division and currently are third at 10-1.

But yes they have had a good year. And my previous posts on the subject mean nothing.

Keep on keeping on though.

Unfortunately if Bama does lose to Auburn, Ohio State will have to play FSU, I'd much rather play a sec team ... otherwise it doesn't count.

That's right. It will mean nothing and you will get no satisfaction from it. I'd quit watching.

On the other hand, Auburn has a good chance to jump Ohio State if they beat Bama then win the sec championship game. That would be funny.
