NCAA 2009-2010 The Bowls

Isn't it about time we start talking and/or tailgating for the MNC Game? Why the silence? With that said.......

HOOK 'EM HORNS!!!!!!!!!!

My thoughts on tonight's game:

Truth be told, I have nothing against Bama- I was rooting for them to beat Florida in both of their SEC title games- but I am getting sick and tired of seeing the SEC always winning the national title.

I'm a college senior at UW-Milwaukee, and so far, I've had to deal the SEC winning it all during my entire college tenure.

I want Texas to win- and I think they will.

Don't sell the Texas defense- I think their D is just as good as Bama's- and quite frankly, I don't trust McElroy. The last few times we've seen a starting freshman QB in the title game (Vick at VaTech, Todd Boeckman a few years ago at Ohio State), they lost.

It's about time the Smug Ego Conference got served some humble pie.

Did anyone see the GMAC Bowl last night?

Yesterday, I mentioned Dan LeFevour in the 2010 NFL Draft thread. For whatever reason, the experts rate him as a 2nd-3rd round pick. Last night, on a national stage, he once again showed why I am so high on this kid. I'd love for my Browns to swoop him up in the 2nd round.

I've got a LeFevour and the only prescription is more cowbell! :D:D

I watched it and enjoyed the game.
There is definatly no quit in LeFevour, great game for him to go out on, really thought they were going to win it in regulation time, but the D* fell apart on the last drive.

I think Alabama is going to win it.
That said, it would not surprise me if Texas did.

I am NOT rooting against Alabama because they are in the SEC, I actually want them to win.
I know no one likes him in the SEC or anywhere else, but I like Nick, he's one hell of a coach, doesn't hurt that he coached here as well. :)

I am looking for a very good game on both sides.

Better QB goes to Texas,
Better RB goes to Alabama
Better D, I'd give the edge to Alabama
Better Offense, I think Texas, but not sure
Texas has the better passing game, Alabama the better running game.

Should be a fun game !

So far, Alabama has been it's own worst enemy.

Did Saban actually call for a fake punt from his own 20 or there abouts ?

Also, the Texas guy intercepted it costing them about 15 yards .... had he dropped it, they would have had better position.

From the look of Texas's last two possession's, if McCoy is out for the entire game you could call the game over right now.

Can any of you think of a more significant injury to occur in a championship game before, than Colt McCoy getting hurt? I know Willis McGahee blew his knee out in the NC against Ohio St and Chris Weinke was unavailable due to injury in the NC against Tennessee, but I've never seen a star get hurt right away like this before, not even in the SB or basketball NC.
