NBA Basketball 2009-10 Season

And, apparently can do no wrong....

If you're suggesting that I'm a lenient critic of my Cavs team, you're probably right. If you were a fan in this city, you'd probably find it hard to criticize our Basketball team too, especially when you have absolute wrecks to root for in Football and Baseball. As long as no ones getting hurt, I can tolerate the dancing. Especially as long as they keep winning.

Well if you want to defend anything Cleveland does just because it's Cleveland, go right ahead.

But IMHO no Cleveland fan has any right to disparage Joakim Noah for doing something they would want any player on their team to do if the situation were reversed.

The funny thing about pro sports is, what goes around tends to come around, one way or another...;)

No, let me tell you what the funny thing is. :)

Sports is a show me game. If you're upset, let the scoreboard do the talking. It's that simple. If Frizz-Ball, ehem, Joakim Noah and the Bulls played better and didn't get blown out, they wouldn't have to witness the Cavs being "happy". Sorry, but I'm not going to speak against a harmless, sign of happiness such as a simple Fox Trot on the sidelines during an intermission.

It would have been funny if one of the Cavs tweaked a knee or something, huh?? Guys have gotten hurt doing much less...

I don't like to see people get hurt, but if it did happen then they would have nobody to blame but themselves.

Actually, revenge can come a number of ways. If you show someone up in the NHL like that, you should make a dental reservation for the day after you play that team again. You're going to need it.

Do something like that against the 1990's Knicks, and Charles Oakley would make you pay for it the next time you drove the lane. Even if you beat them on the scoreboard...you still lost a pound of flesh.

Teams will be stoked to play Cleveland. ;)

I smell playoffs! :D

The funny part is this. As they get closer to the 9 win mark (all-time least amount of wins for an NBA season), they sacrifice the only reason to talk about them for becoming just another run-of-the-mill bad NBA team. I'm rooting for them to break the record of futility. ;) :)

Let LeBron Dance!!!

Good point....

“Not taking basketball seriously is bad. However, does anyone think that James doesn’t take the game seriously? If anything, we too often get on players like Kobe and Tim Duncan for being too stone-faced in crunch time. LeBron James has proven himself capable of closing out big games with almost chilling dominance, uplifting teammates, and just generally excelling at all you could ask of a superstar. Dancing may annoy Joakim Noah, but he can decide who dances and who doesn’t (or, knowing Noah, maybe dance a little himself) when he accomplishes what James has.”

You forgot to print this part of the same article:

What's more, if James wants to dance, maybe it's poor sportsmanship. But that's his decision. No one sane ever equated poor sportsmanship with a failure to accomplish great things, unless your view of professional sports is governed by the law of karma.

Pretty much what I was saying. Poor sportsmanship. Lack of class. Nobody here said he doesn't take the game seriously.

And who doesn't believe in karma? ;)

LMAO.. Quiet up in here after the last 2 days of "some" interesting NBA scoring results LOL

BTW: Best record still alive

It is one thing to have fun during pre-game introductions and to quiet the crowd or pump them up after you make an amazing play to support your team, but it is something else to let the crowd know the opponent is indeed inferior to you. The cardinal rule in athletics is to respect your opponent, which is exactly what James has been getting away from during the past three seasons, and what athletics in general has been getting away from in the past decade.

Dancing with LeStars

I think this whole LeBron Dance-Gate is getting a tad overblown. I was at this particular game. I can tell you first hand the dance occurred during an intermission and when the on-court dance team was having a dance off themselves and asking for the crowd to participate. Everyone in the entire arena was dancing and music was going. This wasn't an attempt to "humilate" the opposing team. A few Cav members joined in on the dancing. Everyone was just enjoying the moment. I still find it humorous that the media and/or posters here who weren't at the game are taking a few video clips out of context from what was really going on.

An Honest Observation on my Cavs

Ok, the Cavs have just dropped two in a row. Is the sky falling? No. I will say that as of this moment, this team is NOT in Championship form though. They still have a lot of work to do, especially on the defensive end. Coach Brown still seems to be tinkering with rotations and trying to mesh the new additions with last year's lineup. It's a long season and I hope they can figure it out though. The season is a marathon, not a sprint.
