NBA 2011-2012 Season

Don't you remember the Montreal Expos? And the los Expos of San Juan? Yes, that was on behalf of your biggest, bestest buddy and big toe, Bud Selig.

MLB owned the Expos at the time.

Sandra

LOL!! I totally forgot about Los Expos! Hell, I even have a hat when they played a few games in Hiram Bithorn Stadium with the Expos logo in the front and the Puerto Rican decal/flag on the side). My cousin went to ALL of them because let's face it, Puerto Rico gets an occassional exhibition game a year. He said they were awesome and wished there was more.

I stand corrected TWICE(someone mentioned Texas as well)!

Keep seeing on twitter that the clippers have agreed in principle on a deal to get cp3 from the hornets

The Celtics have resigned Marquis Daniels, who has fully recovered from last year's season ending and career threatening spine injury. The report I read said the doctors found some unique spine problem that had actually been the cause of other problems he had previously experienced, including numbness in one of his hands.

He's a good sub, but another "small". The Celtics motto this year will be, "Lets Get Small". The only plausible, adult-sized lineup they can put on the floor is anchored by Jermaine O'Neil, who is an above average center when healthy, but is about as physically dependable as Bill Walton or Sam Bowie.

The Jeff Greene injury reports are spooky, because no one involved is revealing any details. The Celtics absolutely, positively must add a "big", even if he is no more talented than Eric Fernstein.

Bad news:

Celtics announce Jeff Green out for season
Posted by Gary Dzen, Boston.com Staff December 17, 2011 11:34 AM

The Celtics announced today that forward Jeff Green will undergo surgery in January at the Cleveland Clinic and will miss the 2011-12 season. During his team physical Friday, Dec. 9, an aortic aneurysm was detected. As a precautionary measure, Green underwent extensive additional testing, after which doctors recommended surgery.

The surgery should completely repair Green’s condition, and the team expects that he can expect to resume his NBA career next season.

“While we are saddened that Jeff will not be able to play this season, the most important thing is his health, and we were fortunate to have access to an amazing team of specialists to evaluate Jeff’s case,” said Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge. “The entire Celtics family supports Jeff during this difficult time in his career.”

And now this, from CSNNE.com

"Because Green failed the physical, the one-year, $9 million contract he signed with the Celtics earlier this month is voided."
