NBA 2011-2012 Season

Yesterday, the NBA gave the excuse as a "basketball decision".

Today, they are saying that with Paul leaving New Orleans, the franchise will be worth much less.

What happens next year when he walks in free agency? Are they going to block that too? I'm pretty sure this violates the NBAPA's antitrust and labor laws. Can't wait to see how this unfolds in the courts.

i hope they come to their senses because what will result of this if they don't can not be good. the NBA is just a mess right now........

Yep...good ole back to business as usual. LOL!

The is NO WAY you will ever get "competitve balance" because there are enough Kobe, Lebrons, Wades, Durrants, Pauls, Rondos and Anthonys to go around. Secondly, you cannot sit there and actually think that the Cleveland market is going to invest as much $$$ as the NYC, Chicago or LA market....just not gonna happen.

This ENTIRE lockout was a complete farce and all about recouping the supposedly $300 million lost last year and not liking the last CBA that THE OWNERS agreed to.

And the NBA is not the NHL...just because it worked for one league, does not automatically mean it will for another. Should the NBA gone cold turkey to fix the issues? MAYBE... But, the LAST CBA was supposed to fix the issues as well.

I mean at what point are you guys going to realize that the owners just cannot seem to control themselves. They are kids in a candy store when it comes out trades and FA.

Not sure how Cleveland entered the discussion, but with Dan Gilbert as owner, there has NEVER been a question of whether or not he'd "spend" enough. Dan Gilbert has always had a payroll that EXCEEDED the cap and paid the luxury tax willingly. Additionally, losing LeBron wasn't a matter of money. He could've technically made more in Cleveland than Miami.

Career ending knee injury to Brandon Roy...AND setback to Greg Oden. The luck the Trailblazer have had has been awful.

Yeah. Sad Brandon Roy retiring so young at 27. On the CP trade, nba said they would try to work out something more acceptable to make the trade work. I have no idea what they think they can do. Nbapa will be ready by Monday if nothing changes

The league owns the team...they tried to make a trade...and they were called out on it...by the hardliners. LMAO! Look at that, they turning on each other.

They should have allowed the trade. So now every time a team wants to trade to a big market team, the little market owners are gonna whine and bitch till the league nixes the trade?

...great....

Trade involving cp3 was resubmitted. Ok not sure what was altered this time.

The league, from what I read, did not think the Hornets were getting enough draft picks or a better value of draft picks.

In seperate news, Dwight Howard has DEMANDED a trade ...and his choice is the NJ/Brooklyn Nets.

It's interesting how he wouldn't even consider the lakers.
