Strange HWS incident......

yesterday morning when wife turned on the HWS, strange screen appeared and acted as if there was an update
screen showed the modern home page instead of classic that has always been used
showed the snap was installed
said ready to scan for ota channels, even though this had been done long ago
told me to choose tv resolution
along with numerous other items + it did not record a daily ota event
checked everything last night, no update still on H290, but did have to rescan ota channels as they had all disappeared, so that is why the daily ota recording did not happen.
the HWS in the bedroom did not have this issue.
This morning, everything seemed fine

any ideas why this occurred?

any ideas why this occurred?

Check your connections on the usb ota tuner and make sure it is plugged in firmly. Wouldn't hurt to rescan the ota channels as well. If it happens again might look at replacing the ota tuner. Also check your snap module is plugged in and if not you could remove it and plug back in firmly. My external hard drive is plugged into the front of my old hopper and it sometimes comes out of the usb plug and I can't view any old movies on it unless I plug it back in firmly. My wife will dust it and pull it out sometimes.
