NBA 2011-2012 Season

Tonight's nationally televised games:

Bulls at Timberwolves- 8:00pm ET (NBA-TV)
Suns at Lakers- 10:30pm ET (NBA-TV)

That Bulls @Tiberwolves should be very interesting. I have been following that Timberwoves team and I really like all the talent they have...the question is, can Rick Adelman harness all those horses to be a cohesive team.

Warriors Thrilling Comeback Win Over Heat in OT
Heat looked lost after 3Q after 2 days off, that much rest is hard to come by this year.
Warriors also 2 days off coming in.

Welcome back NBA.

Hawks @ Pacers tonight. Here's the arena 5 mins, 40 secs before the tip (via @njharbin_23)

Marquis Daniels's comeback is remarkable considering that the consensus last year was that he'd never play again, but he is averaging just five points in twenty minutes per game, making just 32% of his field goal attempts. The Celtics absolutley HAVE to find a second bench scorer...

Mickael Pietrus has been given Marquis Daniels's minutes tonight, and so far he looks good.

Two nights ago, LeBron took just one shot and had zero rebounds and zero assists in the fourth quarter against the Warriors. Last night LeBron was 0 for 3 in overtime with no points. He had eight points despite 1-of-3 shooting in the fourth quarter because he made six free throws. But two of his four missed free throws came with the game on the line. I don't have to state the obvious to point out what's going on here. Again. Just another pattern of behavior we've seen in year's past........

Congratulations to Dwight Howard. His 39 free throw attempts were the most ever in an NBA game, breaking the record of 34 set by Wilt Chamberlain. Howard finished with 45 points and 23 rebounds

For anyone not paying attention, the Cavs have a superstar in the making by the name of Kyrie Irving.

Irving's 28pts 6ast bested Steve Nash's 16 points.

In the end, the pupil got the better of the professor and the Cavs got the best of the Suns 101-90.

The season is only 10 games old, but the Cavs already have more road wins (two) against the Western Conference than they did all of last season (one). A team that had just 7 wins away from The Q last season already has 3 init's first 7 tries.

Nice and the Cavs are in town tonight @ Staples. All eyes on pupil.

I'd have guessed that 18 missed free throws in a game would have been a record but it isn't. WIlt missed 22 and 19. Surprisingly Wilt also long held the record for the most free throws made in a game, having gone 28 for 32 when he scored 100.

Shaq holds the playoff record for attempts in a game with 39, and he missed 21 of them.
