NBA 2011-2012 Season

Celts play the Bulls on national TV tonight. It would be nice to get their first win this season against a good team tonight. They seem to be developing a pretty good bench, what with their rookie defensive center, Stiemsma, being a quality shot blocker and adequate rebounder, Bass is an individually productive 4 and now Pietus looking like a more than serviceable 2/3. The still need an Eddie House coming off the bench.

The Celtics cut the lead from 20 to 1, but it will just be another "moral Victory" game for the Celtics.

I missed the first half of the game, so I don't know if there was a reason for Stiemsma not playing, but for now, I'd say the biggest obstacle to the Celtics being a quality team is that Pierce and Garnett are over the hill, and Pierce is under contract for two more full seasons totalling $32 million. Pietrus, meanwhile, is becoming a fan favorite.

K Irving leads the cavs in points after 1Q at 7. Good game so far.

For anyone not paying attention, the Cavs have a superstar in the making by the name of Kyrie Irving.

Irving's 28pts 6ast bested Steve Nash's 16 points.

Sort of a strange comparison. Nash has never been a scorer. And Nash had 2 points ABOVE his average...and you forgot to mention he had 16 assists. If anything... He showed the pupil how to be a consistant pro.

In the end, the pupil got the better of the professor and the Cavs got the best of the Suns 101-90.

The season is only 10 games old, but the Cavs already have more road wins (two) against the Western Conference than they did all of last season (one). A team that had just 7 wins away from The Q last season already has 3 init's first 7 tries.

Good to hear, the Miami Heat sure could steal, oops I mean, use another guard...........just kidding.
