NBA 2011-2012 PLAYOFFS

Celtics tried their damndest- they just ran out of fuel at a bad time.

The green heart of a champion got them farther than I ever dreamed they'd go at the start of the playoffs.

Well said and very true!

They teased me tonight (I never really thought they would be in this game from start to finish), but I'm damn proud to be a fan of this group!

With all due respect to their ECF victory over Detroit at home in '06, this is the greatest Heat moment ever (for now) at AmericanAirlines Arena (remember, they won the '06 title on the road).

Heat-Thunder sounds like the perfect storm (sorry, couldn't resist )

Seriously, this should be a VERY fun series!!

Bill, I hate to say this for I respect your hoops knowledge- but if they won this series, I just don't think Boston would have had enough juice for OKC.

Oh, I agree. IMO, the Celtics would have matched up much better with San Antonio. Conversely, I think the Heat matchup better with OKC than they would with the Spurs.

Hmmm... Heat are already expected to lose in 6. I like the Heats chances.

If Wade shows up against the Thunder, Heat have a good chance. If he plays like he did in this series I'd have to give the edge to OKC.

But on the other hand OKC doesn't defend like Boston. So I think Miami will get easier looks and baskets. OKC is also deeper, by a mile, and has more scoring than Boston.

Series should be fascinating.

I'll say Thunder in 7, but than again I thought Boston would lose in 5.

Btw, Rey and Salsa congrats on the win. Hope your nerves are ready for 2 weeks of this. I know I'm emotionally spent ( in a fan sense).

Thank you all...but truth be told ...we dont deserve them because we didn't do anything...LOL! Classy on your behalf.

Love the compliment Spo gave Rivers: "..he pushed me to be a better coach..."

 greatest heat moment ever??? the greatest moment ever is when wade, the finals MVP got us our one and only championship.

thanks HART. you and bill, be proud of your celtics. when the odds were against you and many thought you wouldn't make it far, you came that close to getting into the finals.

you make valid points as well. not only wade needs to give us a more complete game but if we get out of bosh what we know he's capable of, then we do have a shot at winning this series. people outside of miami saw how valuable bosh is to this team saturday night. the real heat fans have known this all along. we don't get that game from chris we don't make it into the finals. the man deserves more respect than what he gets.

experience does favor us in this series as well as coaching experience. and i do like the 2-3-2 series. all i want is one at their house. then is 3 straight here.

Experience favored the Mavs, Lakers and Spurs too, but OKC put them all away. The Thunder big 3 have been playing together longer than the Heat's big 3, and the bench is deeper. Maybe Spoelstra is a better coach than Popovich (yeah, right), but I'm saying OKC in 6.

i hear ya. but we're not those teams. :) and i'm not making a pick. not 100% sure either way.....

The Celtics should have won game 7. They had them down all through the game up to the 4th Q.

I wouldn't say it's a guarantee, it's more of a hope. I had my doubts going into the Spurs series too. That's why they play the game.

where it matters the most. trust me when i say i know too much how important it is to close in the 4th qtr. we've been on the losing end of that too many times.

i agree. and believe me i have my doubts and worries. we'll all have a better idea by game 3. ( yes i realize i'm stating the obvious :D )
