NBA 2008-09 Season

The Pistons have now lost as many games as they did all of last year.

They are FINISHED as a contender.

They're a one-and-done team in the playoffs.

I agree that the Pistons aren't what they used to be.

BUT, if they slip to a 6 or 7 seed, that means one of the CLE/BOS/ORL trio would have to play them in the first round.

I DO NOT want to play the Pistons in the first round!

Home-court advantage, normally something Detroit uses as an advantage, would be going AGAINST the Pistons.

Here are my reasons why:

1. Since 2003, Detroit is 5-13 on the road in the Eastern Conference Finals, and 1-8 against the Heat, Cavs, and Celtics in the last threee years

2. If Atlanta can take the Celtics to seven games, why wouldn't I be shocked if they beat Detroit?

These Pistons remind me of last year's Suns- gambled with a big trade, didn't play like we thought they would.

Hard to believe the Clippers would be worse than the Thunder.

At one point, I thought OKC would break the single-season loss record,
Thunder has lost twice to the Clippers. Gotta say LA is better than OKC. :(

But that's ok, we've won two in a row! Bring on the Lakers.!

He's not the only one bumming right now......

The Cavs are a little weak inside. They got killed in the paint today...I hope this isn't going to be an achilles heel.

I agree. When the Cavs have been beaten this year, it was because they were out physicaled down low. Today was no exception, even though the Lakers were without their center! Odom and Gasol owned us in the paint. The scary thing is, I don't know if we have an answer to counter this problem. :(

The one time I root for that evil city North west, and they lose.:D

All signs out of LA point to no, but Marcus Camby would look real nice in a Cavs uniform..

Maybe so Sabre. Unless it's the Magic, we've had their number for quite a while now. I don't think this team was going very far even if Billups was here. He may be re-energized in Denver, but he wasn't that effective in last season's playoffs. This team's fortune lies in the next two off seasons. Unless they shock me and find a way to bring Stoudamiere here this season.
