NBA 2008-09 Season

That is a very impressive record....but you gotta admit, the Bulls 31-8 ROAD record in the year they went 72-10 is equally if not more impressive.;)

That 72-10 will NEVER be broken.

When you really think about it, 72-10 is freakin' incredible!!!

Care to give us a bottom 10?

We had a field day making fun of the NFL's worst teams (Lions, Rams, Chiefs), and I've been killing some of the really bad teams in the NBA- Thunder, Wizards, Kings.

Who was that team that will forever be the answer to a tivia question?

Portland Trail Blazers.

The Blazers blew the Celtics out of the Garden (somewhere around 20 points). I believe it was early in the '85-86 season..........maybe December?

Salsa,

was that MJ's first year back?

He returned on my 30th birthday.....March 18th, 1995...played on the next night in Indiana...it was electric!!! I remember setting the equipment up for the telecast back it Chicago and my hands were actually shaking...I didn't make the trip because alot of the scheduling as far as traveling was set up weeks in advance. Didn't miss another game both at home or on the road again. Something I will be able to tell my children and grand children.....:o:D

Wow, that must have been quite an experience! :up

Like you said earlier, when MJ came back, it must have felt like the Beatles in their heyday. Very surreal!

I forgot that Jordan came back in the middle of a season. But what's so impressive, is his last six COMPLETE seasons all ended with NBA Titles!

When we traveled in those charter flights....it was just amazing. I will never forget!

If it weren't for his gambling suspension disguised as retirement(my opinion of course, but ALOT of insiders believe that is exactly what it was)....they would, in my opinion, would have won 8 straight titles...and who knows, what was once Chicago Sportschannel would still be around....:(

There is no question in my mind.

No offense to Hakeem, Clyde and the Rockets, but they wouldn't have beat those Bulls teams led by MJ.

Jordan is one of the top five players of all-time. (I rank him up there with the true titans of basketball- Russell, Kareem, Bird, and Wilt)

He was a winner, scorer, clutch player, and, IMO, popularized the circus shot that LBJ and D-Wade are known for today.

Still hard to believe he scored 63 points on a Celtics team in 1986 that is one of the two or three best single-season teams ever.
