7:00 PM
Away TV: MSG
Home TV: Fox Sports Ohio - High Def

The Knicks are on the 2nd of a back to back and have been playing with 7 players. The Cavs haven't played since Saturday. This one should be entertaining....

The Celtics are very quietly 17-2. :p But they still have a couple of tough western swings coming up, including LA on Christmas day.

Speaking of Christmas, can anyone list all the NBA games on December 25th?

Just looked it up:

12 noon: NO-Orlando on ESPN
2:30: SA-Phoenix on ABC
5:00: Boston-Lakers on ABC
8:00: Washington-Cleveland on TNT
10:30: Dallas-Portland on TNT

I can get down with some of these matchups, but Celtics-Lakers is the big gift under the tree. ;)

Celtics win their 10th in a row, and are now 18-2 after beating the Pacers. Rajon Rondo continues his great season with his first career triple-double (16 points, 13 rebounds, 17 assists). I guess the Big Three has turned into the Big Four. I honestly see only two teams coming between the Celtics pursuit of back-to-back titles: Cleveland and the Lakers. The Celtics avenged their first loss of the season by beating the Pacers.

Speaking of the Pacers, has any team ever had a tougher week than what they're in the middle of? Last night the Pacers beat LA at home, tonight they lost in Boston, Friday night they travel to Cleveland and then host the Celtics on Sunday.

Knicks still suck.

This reminds me of what I once said on this site: LeBron does NOT want to play with a loser.

If the Knicks keep playing this badly, LeBron wouldn't touch them with a 10-foot pole.

At least when Elton Brand went to Philly, they were coming off a solid playoff season.

BTW, memo to Sandra- your Knicks are not getting any better. May I suggest finding a new team to root for?

You're absolutely right CeltsHD. Your Celtics are having a heck of a start too. Until they're dethroned, I will still consider them the team to beat in the East. But I must say, I'm salivating in the thought of having these Cavaliers face Boston in another 7 game playoff later this year. I think LeBron learned last year just how important home court advantage is. It looks like both teams will be battling for the coveted bonus all season....

Funny thing you mention LeBron and NY. Yesterday afternoon, on the Dan LeBetard show, Charles Barkley chimed in on a few topics and he mentioned the whole Lebron, NY thing and he said this:

'I am little disappointed with him because when they asked him about his contract, he didn't just cut the conversation and say, "Look, I am a Cavalier...there is no reason what's so ever to talk about being anywhere else....period"....INSTEAD, he said, "look....when my contract runs out, I am gonna sign with who will give me the most championships". Now if I was in his locker room, I am thinking to myself, "damn....so what your saying we ain't good enough to win now or ever?!".....I would be pretty pist by his comments.....'

It was a very interesting conversation and when it comes to NBA basketball...nobody...and I mean NOBODY, tells it like it REALLY is more than Charles Barkley. :yes

I actually respect LeBon's honesty. Us Cleveland fans have been jerked around many times in the past by athletes who "promise" to re-sign with Cleveland when contract time comes along. Then, they do the opposite and stab the city in the back by going against their word. (See Jim Thome and Carlos Boozer).

LeBron's said from day 1 that he wants to play for a winner. With that said, it's hard to argue against the Cavs being that winner that's able to compete for the multiple championships he's after. Read between the lines.

Knicks still suck.

The two times I've watched the Knicks play this year (vs. Cleveland) they have been an absolute joke. Last night, the Cavs were almost stealing the ball at will.....it looked like men against boys.

The Cavs are a special team this year. They're playing great on both ends of the floor and have chemistry that I havn't seen since the 95 Indians. I *really* hope everyone stays healthy because I think this is going to be a special year.

Wonder if his teammates did the same....

Marbaby Still Flying Alone!

STEPHON Marbury, the unwanted Knicks guard, is going ahead with buying a $40 million private jet, as Page Six first reported back in August. Although Marbury has yet to play this season, and the Knicks brass can't find any other team willing to take on his $21 million salary, the untradeable Coney Island native is awaiting delivery of the aircraft, according to the buzz at SoHo's Salt restaurant. "He already paid a large deposit in the multimillions and has no plans to try to cancel the order," said one source. Since the top NBA teams have their own jets, and the less-flush teams travel by charter, it's a mystery why Marbury would buy his own plane - unless he expects his future teammates to dislike him as much as the Knick players do and he feels the need to travel solo.

I take it this is yet another way for the ultimate "team player" to stick it to his team? And besides, how the hell is he going to be able to afford the upkeep on this plane?! He makes $21 million this year. The plane is over $40 million. This does not include fuel, insurance or standard maintenance and upkeep. Plus, I guarantee no one in their right mind will pay him anywhere near what he's making now come negotiation time next year. Marbury, haven't you learned anything from your ex-Knickerbocker, millionaire to go broke friend, Latrell Sprewell?! What a doche!

Great article in the Cleveland Plain Dealer from Terry Pluto

It's OK Cleveland. You Can Believe in This Team

This Indian summer, the local baseball team was supposed to be World Series contender, but they were talking rebuilding and Wait 'Til Next Year even before the first fireworks of July 4.

This football fall, the Browns were supposed to be a prime-time playoff team, but those dreams withered and wilted with the first October frost.

Now comes the snow and promise of a Cavaliers winter, where the home team is 15-3 and off to the best start in franchise history. Heading into Friday night's home game against Indiana, they are 10-0 at home and have won 14 of 15 overall. They have sold out eight of their first 10 home games, compared to only four at this time a year ago.

After living in a sports town of great expectations, a few teases and no championships from any of the Big Three pro franchises since the 1964 Browns, are you willing to believe in the Cavaliers?

New Retro Jerseys

Retro Jerseys seem to draw a lot of attention in sports these days. Plus, it gives the team a new look and infuses excitement into fans that want to purchase the new look jerseys.

Just a few days ago, the Cavs unleashed a new look yellow and wine jersey. (Actually a tribute to the inaugural days when the original Cavs wore these from 1970-1974). I must say, they looked pretty sharp on the team. I think I found out what I want for Christmas! Hint Hint....

Mrs. HD MM are you listening???!!!
