NBA 2008-09 Season

In the interest of full disclosure, I do admit that I like LeBron as a person so much more than Kobe (who I can't stand)!!!

Of course, I'd be crazy not to take either one on my team!

Well yeah...personally, I would prefer LeBron 10 times over Kobe because I cannot stand the PERSON Kobe is and thinks he is....but as a player, Kobe is the best player in the world....period. 2nd is LeBron...but not too far behind and 3rd, it's a bunch of guys tied lead by D. Wade.

Wow......just wow!!!

The Celtics (8-1) beat the previously unbeaten Hawks (6-1), 103-102.

The Hawks took the lead with seven seconds left on a three pointer (one of 14 Hawks three pointers) by Marvin Williams....the Celtics call timeout and "Mr. Clutch" Paul Pierce drains a 20 foot jump shot with 0.5 seconds left...Celtics win!

After getting run out of that building four times last spring, they show a lot of heart and still lose?

It's a curse.

You have to admit though, they're not a "fringe" playoff team any more...they're a legit playoff team.

Plus, they were playing without, IMO, their second best player, Josh Smith.

Tell you what, this Hawks-Celtics game tonight, has the intensity of a playoff game!

For the first time in MANY years, I don't feel like the Eastern Conference has to take a backseat to the West. The East is loaded with good teams this year: Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, Atlanta, Philly (despite their slow start), Orlando, Toronto, Miami are all formidable. Even New York, Milwaukee, Chicago and Indiana seem to be much improved this year.

The East still plays MORE defense and a MORE PHYSICAL brand of defense to boot.

I can respect your 1, 2 choice. But as for #3, I would have to go with Chris Paul over D-Wade.

While I'll be sawing logs by the time the second of tonight's double header is decided, I'm quite excited for the first game for obvious reasons.

Melo vs. LeBron is always an epic battle. This will also be the first time National TV will showcase Chauncey on his new Denver team. I'll be curious to see how our new PG, Mo Williams matches up against him. Historically, the Nuggets always play the Cavs well in Cleveleand. Both teams haven't played since Tuesday, so they should be well rested. I expect a good showing from both clubs.

I already claimed the home theater for this game tonight. 8pm, let's get it on! 92" of LeBron is going to be sick!

(BTW, I'll be flipping madly back and forth between this game and the Thursday Night game on NFLN between the J-E-T-S and the Pats).

What a night for sports!

That is why I said there was a whole bunch tied for 3rd. Depending from what part of the country you got. But, I will give Wade the benefit of the doubt because he has PROVEN he can maintain the #3 mantra. And this season, he lloks better than ever AND he has improved his shot. He was 4-7 from 3pt range the other night. For the season, after some major surgery, he has started like a man "with something to prove"! He is averaging 28pts 8rebs 6assist per game.

Love the new HEAT commercial down here!!
