NBA 2008-09 Season

In their third season, they made a miraculous run to the Stanley Cup Finals, with the rats on the ice.

Since then, they have made the playoffs twice in 12 years with only one win.

It seems like one of the biggest flukes in sports history.

true. also the coach they had that season didn't last very long there either.

ANOTHER 41-point night for LeBron.

WHERE is HD?

LeBron scores 41 points for the 3rd time in 4 nights!

Cavs win their 5th straight. This matches their longest win streak last year when they did it once in January.

The Cavs are now 6-2 and stand alone atop of the Central Division.

Next up: Denver @ Cleveland, 8pm on TNT, Thursday Night

Great article updating the life of Josh Childress and his days as a basketball player in Athens, Greece.

The article talks about his decision, salary and all of the perks. (Childress has a $20 million contract which his team pays all the taxes. Also, as part of his contract, his team provides him with a car, personal chef, maid service and 3-story flat.)

It also goes onto talk about how Greece is extremely passionate about basketball and how the game is different.

Really enlightening. Please read.......

ESPN - Mark Schwarz: For Josh Childress, Greece is the word

Watched a segment on ESPN about Childress yesterday. Most of his games are played in "arenas" that were smaller than gyms I played in when I was in high school. Yeah, Kobe and Lebron can't wait to play there:rolleyes:

I think the NBA is a lot better when the Lakers and Celtics are relevant/threats to win the title.

I once said the NBA's not so fantastic when the Spurs are so mighty.

Tonight's ESPN Doubleheader:

8:00pm ET- Blazers at Heat

10:30pm ET- Rockets at Suns

Good news for Portland: Greg Oden says he's ready to play a full game tonight.

I'm looking forward to see Oden, so my remote will be busy between Hawks-Celtics, Bruins-Blackhawks and Blazers-Heat.

Tell you what, this Hawks-Celtics game tonight, has the intensity of a playoff game!

For the first time in MANY years, I don't feel like the Eastern Conference has to take a backseat to the West. The East is loaded with good teams this year: Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, Atlanta, Philly (despite their slow start), Orlando, Toronto, Miami are all formidable. Even New York, Milwaukee, Chicago and Indiana seem to be much improved this year.
