Nascar 2021

I'm sure Larson and Elliott talk ...
Thye will have an interesting conversation tonight if not already ...
Elliott made sure that Larson could Win today ...

In the last 3 laps, Larson and Elliott were going back and forth then Larson made an attempt to get by Elliott and did, but at the same time, it allowed Keslowski back in the chase ...
With Elliott now in 3rd, still way ahead of 4th place, he proceeded to back off Keslowski (at that point he probably knew he didn't have enough to pass Keslowski) when he dropped off Keslowski, he was no longer pushing Keslowski, so it was then Larson and Keslowski ....
Larson held on to win the race.

Then again, this was just an All Star race, no points involved ...

But a MILLION Dollars was.

And it took someone to take him back into the fold that believed in him and not what he said. That's why you lose good people because they say something the wrong way and the minority want them out.
He should not have said what he said, but he should not be condemned for it either.
The fact that it didn't happen in the racing world that employs him should also be taken into account.

Unfortunately I have missed alot of races this year due to them (lot of them) not being on Network TV.
I do not have access to the smaller channels on the TV's at work.

I get FOX, but not Fox Sports ...
I get NBC, but not NBCSN.

How many of the 2nd half are going to be on NBCSN instead of NBC ?

The way it looks there are 7 races on NBC.

According to Howards TV list it's 8 on NBC and 12 NBCSN ...

It's ANOTHER reason why they are losing more and more fans.

Wouldn't you think that if your signing a contract with a Major company, you'd make sure your product was on the MAJOR channels MOREW than the lesser channels ?

It's the same for Fox and FS1 I don't care for the way they do it either, If I heard right NBCSN is ending sometime in the near future so then what Peacock.

So then most of it will be Streaming only, at least at the moment those other channels are available on Cable/Sat tv.

I honestly don't know, The one thing I do know I do not like the way I think this is going to go. We will find out next year I guess.

The NASCAR contract, which expires after the end of 24, requires linear TV for the actual races. NBC is thus moving the content to USA Network. However reruns, practice and qualifying may move to Peacock

After 24, who knows?

Is that going forward After this year ?
The schedule for this year is already in place and it shows the majority of the races on NBCSN .... per the one posted above.
Btw, no word of USA at all in That schedule.

Did you notice they won't be doing the oval at Indy but are going to do the road course:mad: I'm getting sick of all these road courses being done. If I wanted to watch a road course I'd watch Indy or Formula 1. Stick to the ovals even though it's left turns all the time. If they want to try something different do a Polish race lap.

Comcast has announced that it will shutter NBCSN "sometime after the Olympics" and that USA Network would "simulcast remaining programming during the transition to accustom viewers to looking for sports there".

While there is no date set by Comcast, since that time they have given up their NHL rights, meaning their last NHL game will be in a couple of weeks. That leaves NASCAR, Indy Car, and English soccer as its only remaining big programming.

My guess would be that they will just start the soccer (starts in August) on USAN, and shut down NBCSN by October first, when there is so much competing sports on all the other channels. They certainly are not going to keep it going on monster truck reruns and such like just to show a couple of low rated NASCAR races against football.

Would NBC sell back their rights?

I don't think so. There are no buyers out there.

The question, for NASCAR and probably Indy Car (which looks to be re-upping with Comcast) is is USA Network going to be like TBS/TNT and have some sports mixed in with all the reruns, or are they just going to toss up a car race and otherwise just be what it is now, which bodes poorly for gaining casual viewers. Right now those two motorsports properties and the euro soccer are about all Comcast has for USA Network to show. Hockey is moving to ESPN and TBS/TNT.
