Nascar 2009

Enough with the ratings, let's just talk racing.

Right On!

How about the the new old dress the Lady in Black is wearing! Love the Red and White walls.

I'm hoping the track really comes in this year after being re-paved. It's been baking in the Carolina sun for a year.

BTW how many 2x4's do you need in the right door to not care about how stripes you aquire?

Also I'm happy for you Dish guy's for FINALLY getting SPEED HD.

Jimmy Spencer in HD is indeed a sight to behold.

Love the look. Second practice speeds hitting 177 plus. I saw a cut away last year of a car that actually had a 4x4 in the right door. I can't wait to get home and check out SpeedHD.:hungry:

I'm hearing that the track is no where near what is was before the re-paving. Many of the drivers after practice were saying they never got out the gas! Wide open all the way around!

Unheard of.

Heads Up Tele Archives!!

Tonights Nationwide race just might end up being a wreck fest.

25 cars into the wall numerous times for each, 3 teams going to back ups.

Also NWS qualifying was canceled due a storm.

Cup qualifying should be OK albeit about a 1/2 hr. later.

The NW race looks good to go no more rain tonight.

Now how about this? The ratings.

Let's hear it from the fans.
Racing fans aren't fading away, they're just tuning out | HamptonRoads.com | PilotOnline.com

Not even going to click on the link. All you do is bash NASCARs ratings. You offer nothing to this thread. If NASCAR bores you so friggin much............GO AWAY!!!!!!!

Amen to that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't bash NASCAR ratings. I bash NASCAR racing as it is today. It's not the same sport and not as much fun. That is a fact. If it offends some of you I'm sorry but facts are facts.

You know what?

I really wanted to see if Matt could catch and pass shrubby.

Too bad, it would have been good.

Another bad move Kyle. It's going to get to the point where he's not just PO'ing the fans but networks, sponsors, track owners, promotors If he hasn't already.

What did he do this time ?

He had a flat right rear during the caution leading up to the G/W/C while leading the race. He had to pit dropping him back to16th on the restart.

He was dominant leading by nearly 2 sec at one point. Led most of the race.

Kennseth was running him down and it shaping up to be great fight for the finish.

Afterward, same old thing, parked it on pit road for post race check got out of the car headed for the RV lot and disappeared.

At least this time he didn't say anything to the camera crew that was trying to keep up with him.

So he continues to run away when things don't go his way ...

To bad the media can't do the same when he wins a race. :D

fwiw, It would suk having a flat during the G/W/C, particularly when your leading.

And thank goodness he does. That is the worst time to hear him talk. It's hard enough for a 24 year old to use his brain before his mouth. In the heat of passion, it's almost impossible.
There aren't many people more passionate about racing than the Shrub.

Well wouldn't you think he better LEARN to deal with the media REAL soon ....
He feels it's OK to go out and bash others when he wins, but runs and hides when he doesn't ?

Jimbo

Passion is fine. It's great to see. It's what helps make a champion.

But, he has greater obligations than just to himself.

Think Tony Stewart a couple years ago.

It wasn't anger management that changed his tune, it was Home Depot and Joe Gibbs.

Let's face it, in the business of big time auto racing Money really does talk and if Kyles not careful he'll be walking.

50 wins or not.
