Like I said before, MLB wouldn't keep putting the Yankees on in primetime if they weren't getting the ratings.

Bill, your a 100% right. The Yankees draw and it works because Yankee fans watch the game and those who dont like the Yankees (and there are a lot of them) watch them.
In fact, the only time the Yankees havent been in prime time was in 2003 when the Cubs got those spots.

I can understand you being torn about this, but I think you have to root for your team to wrap it up as soon as possible.
Yeah I will. I have tickets to the 2nd home game of the NLCS so I will get to see them no matter what.
These late-night starting times (Oakland vs Detroit) are reminiscent of one-half of the Red Wings playoff games. At least they're starting at 9'ish instead of 10PM so I can watch two or three innings before hitting the rack. Anyway, it should be another good game.

IF BOTH the Giants-Reds AND Tigers-A's series ends today, the Orioles-Yankees game will move to 8:30pm ET

See, I know a lot of you have been asking for day games but I think it would suck if the Tigers had a 1:00pm game on a working day. The kids are in school and most adults will be at work. There is a very small percentage of people who aren't retired or unemployed who will be able to watch that game. I can always make the decision to stay up late like I will to watch the Tigs tonight. Yes, I will be tired at work tomorrow but I would have no options for a day game like that.
I'm at work and can only listen to San Fran/Cincy on ESPN radio. Boomer is doing PBP and Rick Sutcliff is doing "color".

I'm with you. However, I do LOVE the 4:00pm starts. It kind of brings me back to my youth.
I'm going to watch a few innings of the As-Tigers game, but I hope I don't get sucked into staying up late this evening...as much as I want to.
They NEVER have the LATE game (9:30), even when they play on the West Coast they play at 8.
It stinks that they get that preferential treatment, unless your team is the one playing them.
