MLB 2012 Postseason

People have been complaining about this game being on MLB Network like crazy on Detroit sports radio. Apparently lots of folks around Detroit don't get the channel. So far I like the production style better than TBS though. The only thing I'm missing is that nice 5.1 sound TBS had last night. I know MLB Network doesn't use 5.1 sound but it seems like they would for the postseason at least. Oh well, as long as my Tigers are winning I don't care about the sound.

My sister is complaining as well, at her boyfriends house and he has the local CableSystem and they have the channel, but ONLY with the Box, which he doesn't have.

Laird has also turned into a decent hitter as well.

Perhaps, but after hitting .225, .207 and .232 prior to this season, I would be happy if he would consistently hit in the .240-.260 range and play 50-games each season. He is having a much better season now that we're paying him 1M instead of 4M per year. Of course, we can discuss who the Tigers should cut and who they should pickup at another time.

Anyway, it's nice to see Brandon Inge sitting in the As dugout. One of the announcers mentioned he was a fan favorite in Detroit. That's trued---I liked him---but he also drew his share of boos because of his often lethargic bat; he had that Howard Cosell effer where you love him and hate him at the same time.

Complements of MLB, the Tigers and A's played the LATE game last night and play the EARLY game the next day .... good thinking Bud.

Then also due to his instance of getting the extra WC in this year, the A's who have HFA, start on the road ?
Along with that, the A's home games end up being during the week instead of the W/E, thus making it a LATE night game during the weeknight, when it should not have been.

Yeah, it's really screwy. They should play the first two in Oakland, two in Detroit and game 5 back in Oakland if necessary. Also, I get up at 4:00 AM so there is way I can (or at least should) stay up 'till almost 1:00 AM watching the late game. That's just as silly as this game starting at 9:00 AM on the west coast, not to mention their playing the late game last night.

Oh, I really loved that "flashback" moment from Game 2 of the 1972 ALCS. I remember watching it when I raced (literally ran 10-city blocks) home from school. I really wish they would play more of these games during the day like back in the old days.

9am on the West coast doesn't bother me, thier day is just getting started, much different than at the end of your day.

Almost a nice recovery by crisp....but did not grab it :)

Crisp wanted to make the showboat play and forgot to catch the ball.
Serves him right.

He slowed up on his charge in on the ball otherwise he would have made it an everyday play.
The announcers making it sound like that was the only way he could make the play, thats not true, had he kept charging it would have been an easy play .... end result, 2 runs scored for the Tigers, now lets see if they can close them out.
