ADAM JONES GETS A GOLD GLOVE OVER MIKE TROUT??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Being in the east, I haven't seen that much of Trout's defense. What I have seen is impressive, but Jones is a top quality fielder, no doubt. Gold Glove awards are impossible to qualify. I think Trout's age was a factor. He will win many in his career, and probably at least one MVP!

The same is true for the sports writers. That IS one reason why there IS a DEFINITE east coast bias in sports.

Of course when you DO see Trout, it's always the Splashy play, you don't see the everyday stuff on SC.

Austin Jackson is every bit the Defensive player that Trout is if not more, but you don't see him getting the pub because he's not part of the West Coast Bias, or East as well.

Angels begin to purge...Ervin "Headcase" Santana is now a KC Royal. Buh Bye!

Now, let's get rid of Haren and his bad back. Greinke is a bit if a headcase, too but I'd like to see him stay in Anaheim.

Soriano is now a FA.
With the Tigers not going with Valverde next year, will they jump in the Soriano bidding, seeing they need a Closer.

Soriano opted Out of a 14 Mil. contract with the yanks, hope he doesnt expect anything close to that from the rest of the teams.

NY must have been real bad, for someone to walk away from that kind of money.

Never said anything about Trout deserving it over Jackson. Look at what I highlighted. My comment was directed at the fact that the sports writers see more games on the east than they do in the west. The fact that they get to see the east teams play more often, that biases their opinions.

Look, most of us realize there is an east coast bias with not only the sports media, but media in general. It has always been that way and it looks like it always will.

He wants 14-15 Milliom for 3-4 years. It is not about NY being bad. It is about his agent, Scott Boras. If the Tigers want to deal with him by all means let them. He will milk your team as much as he can.

You got to be kidding ... thats what he's asking ?

I'll pass.

The Tigers do have a lot of relations with Boras, but I would NOT go that route if thats what he's expecting.

Rumor has it, the Tigers may be going to go with Bruce Rondon thier Minor league prospect as thier Closer next year.

I would imagine they would at least "Look" to see who's available, but they have had Rondon in the background for a few years now, but he hasn't pitched in the top minor levels yet.

According to Sean McAdam of CSNNE.com, David Ortiz has reached an agreement with the Red Sox on a two-year, $26 million contract.

Please no Beltran in NY again. The guy cannot play in ny.

I don't thing Cards will be trading Beltran.Cards GM Mozeliak was asked about it and he said there has been no talks and Beltran is going nowhere :)
