I was watching ESPN Sports Center this morning & they showed the game between the Cubs & Red Sox last night in throwback 1918 uniforms, I asked myself why I didn't watch that game last night.....& then I remembered,Fox decided to broadcast night games that night & the Cubs & Red Sox were BLACKED OUT(we watched the Mets & Yankees instead). Why couldn't the Cubs & Red Sox wear their throwback uniforms tonight instead,on national TV(ESPN Game of the Week)? F... you Fox!!!!!

Hmmmm, I got the Red Sox and Cubs in my area and of course missed MY local team for the 1st time this year... which will happen twice this year.

Interesting that FOX would have designated more than ONE game as "THIER" game, didn't think that was allowed.

Don't you think that it's GARBAGE that "FOX " will shut down ALL other games in tier decided time slot, while at the same time turning off ALL the RSN's that they OWN as well ?

You would think that they would keep the network of game ON that are owned by them ....

Can't wait till this FOX rule is OVER.

They did "regional" coverage, because they were also broadcasting the Giants-Athletics game.

I've always strongly believed that if you're an MLBEI sub, you should get all the Fox games!

BTW, Fox has FIVE regional games in their window next Saturday (7pm ET/4pm PT), which is garbage, IMO . Red Sox at Tigers is one of the five games.

This alone is one reason why I jailbreak my iPad. I am able to use a location faker, set up my local area in some other country, and watch any of the FOX games on my iPad through the MLB APP

Wake-field!!
Wake-field!!

Code:

Before this series I couldn't have told anyone who the manager of the cubs was. Now, I see why, he sucks and they have a terrible roster. Castro is a player, but the rest of the team seems like a bunch of also rans. Does the ownership of the Cubs take winning seriously??

My Reds are in a free fall and still have to play @Philadelphia and @Atlanta.

Cy... I would be incredibly proud of that team and the fans should start a campaign to make sure ownership keeps that team intact.

But they wont, they might keep McCutchin but IMO they will get rid of them when free agency comes along. That is how the Pirates does business. They got rid of Bautista because he would of made 2 million, granted he only averaged 16 homers a year at that time but that is more than anyone on the team now.

Walker will probably stay also since he is a home town boy.

Tonight was a throwback to my youth. I laid awake in bed and listened to the AM broadcast of Tom Hamilton call the come-from-behind Tribe victory over the Red Sox. TV just can't compare in drama or imagination. Wow!!!

Did your power go out ?
What not watch it on TV ?

Manny Acta- from interesting managerial hire to the early Manager of the Year favorite.

I tell you what Sabres. Acta ball is working awesomely here in the AL! Situational hitting, great defense, late inning adjustments. Acta seems to be making all the right calls right now. So much more compelling watch him call the game as opposed to Wedgie. I will say that. Two completely different characters. Wedge was a grinder and playing it safe. Acta is about taking chance and listening to his players suggestions. All in all, if anything, it's lead to great team chemistry!
