MLB 2010 Season

Reds are up three games now. Big win last night. Came from 4 runs down in the 8th to win it. So far so good on the west coast. But they are playing a bad D'Backs team.

And Colin Cowherd is calling them a Fraud today on the radio.

He says they have losing records against all the 1st and 2nd place teams in the NL.

Says they are going to the Giants soon and will get beat.

They need all the wins against the D-Backs and hope they go at least .500 against the Dodgers and Giants.

Do they have a losing record against themselves? ;) :D

He needs to know that it doesn't matter how you get there, just that you get there, then play good when it really counts.

Reds are 1-2 against the Pad's

The 1-2 against the padres came in April when the Reds were just horrible. They looked like the previous 10 years of Reds teams at that time. Thay are 2-3 against the Braves. They aren't exactly being dominated by the two division winners. I quit listening Cowherd a long time ago when more than proved his ignorance for baseball. I am just enjoying a good Reds team this season. I haven't been able to do this in a looooooong time.

Did anyone mention to him that the almighty Cardinals have a losing record against the so-called 'cupcakes' in the NL Central?

I gave up listening to him most of the time, but during the football season I listen just to see what he's gonna say that is so way out there that it catches your attention, he's good at doing that. I happened to turn him on ESPN this morning and he did it again.

I guess he's got what he wants, if I listen because he's so way off base, he's still got a listener .....

I don't listen too often any more, but from time to time.

He once pointed out that his job was to get you to listen ..... (numbers) didn't have to make sense.

Baker and the Reds

Ramy,
How do you feel about this:

Red's offer Dusty Baker a contract extension.

They are playing well, is this Dusty's doing or not.

Is this a Good thing, or not for the Reds ?

I think it is a good thing. They have done better every year he has been there so why not reward him with an extension.

Reds win again. Up by 3 1/2 now. Biggest lead they have had all year.

6 game winning streak and 19 games over .500 are high water marks too for the season. Three games in Dodger Stadium this weekend. The Reds haven't won there since 2005.
It was a no brainer to offer Dusty an extension. This will be the first year the Reds have been over .500 since 2000 and a good chance of being in the playoffs since 1995. The Reds would look absolutley foolish not to have him back next season.

Wait, the Reds haven't won a series in Dodger Stadium since 2005, or haven't won a game in Dodger Stadium since 2005? If they haven't won a game...that's a long time!
