I see things are going from bad to worse. Martinez has only thrown out one baserunner this year (Robinson Cano) in 12 attempts against him, meaning he is down to 8% caught, and last night Carl Crawford stole successfully for the 28th consecutive time against Boston, making Varitek 0-2 for the season, or zero percent.
I remember when the string of successful steals against Mark Clear got to about 55 over three seasons. With him, it didn't matter who the catcher was. He also threw the most uncatchable wild pitch curveballs I have ever seen.

I put on ESPN News to catch the Jimenez interview, and I saw the Mets-Cards score on the scroll.
BTW, the Mets-Cards game is still scoreless in the bottom of the 18th!
