MLB 2010 Season

Just emailed em. They wrote back:

"As soon as cable companies allocate an HD channel for FS Plus. Currently DirecTV and AT&T U-verse are able to show some Plus games in HD. We hope other cable companies will soon follow suit. We're ready to deliver as soon as they can accommodate."

We will be taking Fox Sports Detroit Plus full-time HD on Nov. 1st.

Red Sox and yankee fans ....

Knowing that you all like your RSN NESN and YES respectively.

When your game is on ESPN over the year, is your ESPN blacked out in favor of the RSN's ?

I'm guessing it is.

What about opening day, is ESPN blacked out then as well ?

I'm only guessing that the game is on the RSN for opening day .

I don't think YES or NESN will have the game on Sunday, it's an ESPN exclusive, IIRC. At other times the Yanks are blacked out on ESPN when they are also on YES. I think the same is true for the Sox and NESN. Wouldn't it be the same for all MLB teams?

I would think it should be.

Actually, both RSNs will be broadcasting this game also. It was originally scheduled for Monday so since ESPN asked to have the game moved NESN and YES still are in play. Normally the Sunday night game is an ESPN exclusive...

correct

If the game is on ESPN or for the D* folks MLB Network it is blacked out in the teams markets and you have to watch it on the local RSN"s

Now that poses a question about the MLB Net games. They are going to do some afternoon games on Thursdays. What happens if a team is not broadcasting the game yet its on MLB Net?

Example....the Twins like to do a 12:10 Thursday game (getaway day). Lets say they are playing the Rays. Rays are broadcasting Twins arent. MLB Net picks up the game. Would it be blacked out in Minnesota?

OK real example. June 30th (Wed) Twins play Tigers at 12:10 CDT. FSN Detroit has the game. FSN North does not. So if MLB Net picks it up it would be blacked out in Detroit but what about Minnesota?

from the "what are the odds"

In yesterday's game Twins OF Denard Span hits a foul ball in the stands and it hits his mom.

TAMPA, Fla. -- Twins outfielder Denard Span struck his mother, Wanda Wilson, in the chest with a foul ball while batting in the first inning on Wednesday at George M. Steinbrenner Field.

Span was leading off the game against the Yankees' Phil Hughes when he fouled a 3-2 pitch directly to the left of the visitors' third-base dugout, where a group of friends and family members were settling in for the game.

The ball struck his mother, who was sitting three rows from the field and wearing a Twins jersey with Span's name on it, with a thud that was audible to the players on the Minnesota bench. Span immediately dashed into the seating bowl, consoling her as help arrived.

My predictions

Red Sox, Tigers, and Mariners win their division with the Yankees as a Wild Card

Phillies, Cardinals, Rockies win their divisions- Dodgers get the Wild Card

ALCS- Red Sox-Yankees
NLCS- Phillies-Cardinals

World Series- Red Sox-Cardinals. It'll be 2004 all over again!

Dammit!! I was so looking forward to a good year for the Sox. Sabres picks are like the kiss of death... :(

When the schedule first came out, LA media was questioning why the Dodgers should open in Pittsburgh when it could be cold. Today in Pittsburgh it is sunny and in the upper 70's. In LA it is rainy and in the 50's
