Manual Input of DVR Genie IP Address

The Direct TV AP works fine when I am on my home WIFI. When I am on data, it can't find the IP address for the Genie DVR. I know the DVR IP address, but how do I input the address into the Direct TV AP so it can see the DVR. The cell phone is a new Iphone 8 with 64 gigs of memory. I had the same problem with my old Sansung S4.

Did you connect your phone to the D* App ?

Once you make the connection it typically works ....
I know mine does as I was showing it to a friend at his work location just last week.
