Networking doesn't really have much in terms of functionality except to provide a return path to DISH via the internet. This will allow homes without phone service to be able to order PPV, pay their bill through the receiver, add programming, etc. through their remote.
The DishComm function allows the 211 to do all that by using another ViP receiver in the house that has internet or phone line. So if you have a 722 connected to a phone line and a 211 that isn't, you would now be able to order movies through your remote on the 211, etc.
I'm more interested in seeing this functionality make it to the 222 where at least this could save a customer $5 if the other receiver has phone line connection.
