just don't know

If it's truly like new, never used, not damaged in storage -- I'd say it's worth $200. What do you think, Anole?
Was just lookin', myself. Not really enough info.

We've had a few members clamoring to spend $500+ on new.
For one of them, it could be a bargain. :)

Are we sure it's mesh and not a perf?
I'm a a (pro) perf bigot, in general. :up

Edit: madmad brings up a good point.
Everything included brings value:
- good feed
- good motor
- and a pole
- 4DTV receiver, if you want one
No points for analog receiver

I'll err on saying it' s a bit spendy, unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Look close at the receiver picture, one of the mesh panels is behind it. It looks clean, unrusted, undented...nice, and definitely mesh. I was trying to see what it said on the center hole cover, couldn't make it out. And, I was wondering what that "bar" on top of the bucket is, looks like a piece of a steering shaft in a car...don't remember having anything like that on my old dish. I'm still waiting for an e-mail reply, didn't see any phone contact listed.

... I've got to figure out the best way for me to get it.
In my experience the segments from a 10' dish fit inside a full size pickup bed with a cap on it. Just barely, but at an angle they'll go in. I put something in between each one so they wouldn't get all scratched up on the ride home. 90s era F-150, but would think all big pickups/caps have about the same dimensions.

Ah, I see it now! My perspective of scale was telling me that was too small to be an actuator..LOL!
Anyway, i got a reply. I think i'm gonna buy it, just need to work out the details. It's about 400 miles one-way from here, I've got to figure out the best way for me to get it.

Ask the seller if he'll meet you half-way, or at least part of the way. You might not then be able to negotiate a better price, but it sure beats driving 800 miles... Don't tell him right off you'll pay for his gas or anything like that, get him to make a counter-offer if he seems to be hesitant to the idea. You might do ok with that.

Or, maybe there's a handyman guy with a truck nearby, who is willing to bring it half way for a price. I've driven 300 miles total for a dish, but 800 isn't worth it to me. I'd find a way to relay it to me.

It'd have to be one gold plated mutha of all dishes before I'd drive 800 miles for it. :)
Well, maybe if -I- got the $200! :)
AND it came with an H-H mount
AND an Ortho feed with decent lnbs
oh, and the pole, of course
and even then...

Best of luck.
Good hunting.

Anole, I'd really appreciate your serious opinion of this dish. Of course, based upon what you can see and know at this time :)
Driving 800 miles would be like a vacation for me, I'd love it, especially to get me a nice dish. This is what he said about it;
"The dish is new, General instrument 2750r was used for one year. Chaparral polorotor, general instruments LNB, superjack actuator/motor. It is missing the remote. System is complete but needs a 3’’ post. All the manuals and setup instructions are included."
I asked him if for more details of the dish, if he had them, make model specifications, etc. still waiting for that reply. Thanks,
