Oh how the times they are a changing. We are in a veritable free fall. When I'm getting work units I'm pumping out more points than ever but I'm falling like a stone in the daily production rankings. I guess it's good that more and more people are folding but is it ever discouraging. I'm not quitting, the science is important, but faster hardware is out of the question for a while and I hate dropping like this.

I had to reboot my one Ubuntu Folder with the GTX 1070 card. It seems it wasn't getting work, and no matter how many times I would pause and un-pause the Slot, it wouldn't pick up work. So, I powered it down, checked to see that the fan could still spin, and powered it back up. Huh, downloaded work right away and it's off to the races! I guess I'll need to schedule weekly reboots or something.

And KE4EST seems to have found the dryer lint clogging his vents, cleared it, and now is bearing down on Voyager and me!

Fold it like electricity is free from the Sun! ;)

Might have to look at upgrading a graphics card or two. ;)

Sure, after my reboot yesterday, Karma said, "Not so fast, fool…" Power is out. No reason, no bangs, booms, bad weather, etc. Neighbor across the street get power from a different feed, so they have lights.

So why didn't I get that Generac?

Update: Okay, it appears that all the Work Units on my Dell T7400 got whacked, but after some cleanup, all three slots are busy and the FAH Control Panel shows over 2M PPD.

(heh-heh-heh, "Guru Meditation <hex codes>". Someone had an Amiga before they coded FAH Cores! ;))

Yep that is what I did, running a 2080 Super now also.
No wonder you're nipping at my heels. Well, nip away, this is the friendliest competition I've ever been a part of. :hatsoff2 I'm not upgrading anytime soon; with three graphics cards, air conditioning, and two cars my electric bill is high enough.

Hey! While the rest of the World was examining its collective belly buttons, Our Fearless Leader, Scott Greczkowski joined the ranks of the SatelliteGuys Folding Points Billionaires!!! Just a few years after this Milestone.

It took him a long time, but without his leadership, our Team would not be where it is today! FOLD ON!!!!

Oh my! I didn't realize my server had stopped folding. My other computer with the 2080, I did notice, but put it to sleep and keep forgetting to wake it back up. Been doing a lot of video editing on it lately and FAH drags it down when it is running.
