iOS 6 Installed

Knock on wood, it seems to be ok today. I've been on wi-fi for the past 90 minutes and it hasn't done it yet. Hope I didn't just jinx it.

Going to put iOS6 on my iPad later today. Even less incentive to be JB on it. But I will admit I miss the brightness buttons on the iPhone JB. :)

Dang it. It is back. I jinxed it. Heck, I can't even fully turn the darn thing off. I wiped all apps from memory, and then did the turn off, and it goes into a spinning circle, and back to an apple logo rather than just shutting off.

I turned wi-fi off for now, and will test it at the office tomorrow on a different network. I can't imagine why my own network would cause a problem, as it never has before. And I don't think I have any funky apps using data that I am not aware of. Is there a way to tell what apps are using the internet?

Knock on wood it has not happened on mine at all. (I have it on my iPhone and iPad.)

Thinking I'll hold off on iOS6 on the iPad until the next beta, don't need two devices doing this on a regular basis. :)

Itried beta 2 for my 16gig WiFi iPad, and it would reboot over and over. Got tired of it and went back to 5.1.1

Sounds like Apple has some work to do. As long as they're fixed and ready to go by release date I'll be happy.

The strange thing with this is it did not do it for the first 2 weeks I was on iOS6; just started last week when on vacation.

Tried wifi at the office and within 2 minutes it rebooted. No idea what is causing it. And the forums are not helpful on this one.

This isn't making me look forward to the release this fall. :(

I had reboot issues with android...

It does NOT happen with iOS 5.x, right ? That probably rules out defective hardware... Reason I thought it was your hardware was the lack of other reports (according to your research). If it's an incompatibility between iOS 6 and the WiFi radio, more people should be seeing it and reporting it.

It only recently started. And only after a couple weeks of using iOS 6. I am going to reset my network settings and see if it makes it go away.

Posted a thread in the iOS6 developers forum to see if others have had this problem. The more I think about it, it did not happen before I started using personal hot spot. But that could just be a coincidence.

I do not want to jinx this, but the problem has not occured at all today and I have had it on wi-fi most of the afternoon. Completely baffling, but not complaining.

Only one glitch on the iPad. The Daily won't load. Everything else seems normal. Like with the iPhone, I'd say iOS 6 really is more like 5.5. Just minor tweaks. I do look forward the iCloud tab in Safari working with my mac when ML arrives. Sharing open browser sessions is nice. It works with my iPhone, but the mac is the real tool.
