How to get rid of alt.dbs.echostar headlines??

I would really like to get rid of the newsgroup headlines that show up in the Pub Forum.

I want to know what's going on in the Pub, not what a bunch of gibberish the unwashed masses are spouting off about.

Is there a way to do turn those off? I want to see the last post in the Pub, not some newsgroup.

In the Control Panel, choose "Edit Options". At the bottom of the screen you'll find "Forums to exclude from view. You can choose which forums not to display from a list of all the forums. alt-dbs-echostar is close to the top of the list.

Yup thats how you do it.

I am amazed at the number of sites running that program now, I actually paid to have it made a few years ago and let the author release it so other vBulletin sites could use it as well. Its a great feature!

Bad news -

I'm still seeing the stupid posts from the newsgroup in the Last Post column, any way to get rid of those also? (Those are what I wanted to get rid of in the first place)

I only want to see Last Posts from the Pub.

I don't think you can. I simply go straight to the forums and choose new posts (entire site)from the menu. That WILL exclude posts from groups you exclude from your list.
