I've seen mgmt push a not ready for prime time update out the door, and delay others until just before a big meeting.

Haha ! Tech support is NOT software engineering !!

I'll bet if you asked the head of the s/w engineering group, he/she couldn't even give you a (firm) date.

DIRT is here to help us with our problems. Software engineers will not make commitment to a specific date. When it's ready, it's ready.

The best they could ever hope for, is an ETA on something(which is rare) and even that can be pushed back.

We've seen lots of release "dates" or ETAs and 3/4 get bumped....
