I recently upgraded to the Hopper system. I was told by the Dish technician that I should have no problem adding the Hopper to my home network and viewing live and saved programming from my Android tablet or phone with the Dish Anywhere app...even though I do not have Internet access from within my network. Can someone confirm if this is a true statement? I haven't had a lot of time to play with this yet, but have found that the Hopper recognizes my network but when attempting to add it through the setup wizard, it errors out every time. Am I wasting my time or should I be able to do this? If so, can someone assist with some troubleshooting suggestions?

You can watch where there's wifi or 3G, LTE etc elsewhere so if there's a signal at your house, even if you don't have a home network, it could work.

Or if your home network has wifi, even without Internet, it might work if the system can phone home over a land line. But I don't think it works that way. Anywhere just requires a start ok then it's all on your home network.

Or you could transfer from your HWS to your tablet and watch anywhere, even where there's no signal at all.

"Add it thru setup wizard?"
