Here is my SILVER & BLACK 2009 winning schedule

you're going to hate this salsa but jamarcus is begining to remind me of jay schroeder. do you know why? or do you think i'm way off? :D let me have it salsa!!!!!!:p:p

I am not off the JaMarcus bandwagon yet. I read this and it could not be more true:

Russell can't do it alone – The quarterback is always the one who we look to first in either a win or a loss. However, no quarterback wins alone. Tom Cable needs to find creative ways to get Darren McFadden, Michael Bush, Zach Miller, Louis Murphy and Darrius Heyward-Bey involved so Russell is not being asked to do it all on his lonesome. Even though the defense is much improved, that last drive against San Diego still looms large. Also, don't overlook the fact that Russell and the injured Chaz Schilens were really developing a chemistry. The injury to Schilens was a crushing blow to Russell and his progression in the preseason.

ALL so very true. Also factor in this, you are a new QB with great RAW talent....you need some stability in the coaching staff to help you grow....have you seen ANY stability in the coaching staff coming into this year? Or ANY in the last 5-8 years? A young QB needs that....he has not had that. I do not care WHO you were coming out of college, if you have NO steady influences coaching you coming out of college....your growth will be slowed to a crawl.

JRuss has 60+ millions reasons to provide himself with stability.

If you get a chance read the Ted Tolliner interview...this isnt about coaching....its about what is or is NOT going on JRuss gray matter.

Raiders want Gannon gone | ProFootballTalk.com

Raiders invoking 9/11 in trying to get Gannon banned from their facility and removed from broadcasting their games for being critical of the franchise.

Not surprising. This is Al Davis at his best. But then again, so would the owners of EVERY SINGLE sports franchise would request if a former player turned broadcaster/media guy bad mouthed their former franchise. I can easily see BOTH side of this. Gannon wants to establish his credibility in sports media...and the franchise does not want negative media coverage.

...nothing to see folks, let's move it along...

That is fine, and I do understand AND agree, I might add....BUT, the ills of the Raiders on not squarely on JaMarcus's shoulder.

Well, they're too busy blaming previous quarterbacks for their woes, rather than current ones... a quote from the Raiders during this Gannon thing:

Herrera said:
...[Gannon] seems to be a guy who can't get over the fact that he played the worst Super Bowl game in the history of the game and he wants to blame everybody but himself."

They've since relented and will let Gannon in the building for the CBS broadcast.

Gannon is partially responsible for the lone good season this team has seen in the last 12 years.

Apples and oranges....the team is doing nothing different than any other team would. And Gannon is trying to establish that he will call out anyone....regardless of he playing there or not.

Russell as a QB has been vastly overrated, he is imposing as a person but come on, look at his college career, he had one really good game on tv and people overreacted now the Raiders and their fans are paying the price. The upside is if the Lions have their QB, who knows about the Browns, they could possible have a 1 or 2 draft pick to find another QB after the win their 3 - 4 games.

Playcalling was so poor it's hard to distinguish any progress from it. When he has time he doesn't plant and throw well (as described by Gannon) so he keeps throwing it high over receivers. This was pretty clear on some plays.

I think those clutch drives we were seeing he was hurried, which inadvertantly got him to throw better. He really needs to look at that tape and learn how to make those throws every time, rather than what he typically produces. He has a great QB coach.

It was a team loss this weekend though.

DAMN YOU Stevo.....I agree 100%!!;)

Okay....any JRuss apologist like to explain how yesterdays outing was a step in the right direction?

IF you have watched a good amount of Raider games and have kept close tabs....as in reading from MULTIPLE sources, other than the 30 second ESPN blurb... NO QB could have improved over the condition JaMarcus has had to go through....

Shall we go through them..?

....signed late his 1st year. Missed ALL of the preseason and the 1st game...so he was already behind the curve. ONLY attempted 66 passes. Only starting ONE GAME. Oh by the way, the Raiders were going through some major issues in the coaching department.

....coach that DIDN'T want him, had to coach pick him AND coach him.

....ex-coach Kiffin get a little comfortable with him...then he gets fired. As well as with some of his coaches. Cable comes in as interim coach. Coaches changes the philosophy of the offense(do to the injury of McFadden)BACK to the run with the sudden and somewhat unexpected emergence of Michael Bush.

....Raiders FINALLY show a pulse at the WR spot with inserting Johnny Lee Higgins and Chad Schillens to start.

....Cable becomes the LEGIT head coach and brings in NEW coaches, including a QB coach. MORE than likely, seeing that he has NOT had a better QB coach than Paul Hackett, he is more than likely UNLEARNING some bad habits.

Now tell me, under all those conditions, WHO is gonna be successful? I mean look at Brady Quinn, he sat for a couple of years...and suddenly NEW coach, they make him the starter...and NOW, more than likely, he is back to backup status.

So, you can call it anything you like...but no QB was gonna be IMMEDIATELY successful under those conditions....;)

send him over to miami to see if we could do anything with him. at least i'm sure he has a canon for an arm. we'll work on the rest :D:D

You might be right, but how long has he been there as the starter now???

Dude needs a tire swing and keep throwing 'til he can't miss...............until then

Glad we play them twice!!!!! Another win for us on Dec. 20th!!!!!

I think you'll need a floundering Raiders team to save some face, the Broncos are only going to win 2-3 of their next 10 games... DAL, NE, @SD, @BAL, @WAS, SD, NYG, @KC, @IND, OAK.

If the franchise is in self destruct mode though then Denver is beatable by even KC at that point, Orton could also lose you a couple of the games you should win (@WAS, @KC).

Only a Broncos fan would puff their chest after wins over a hapless Bengals that should have won the game, and poor Cleveland and Oakland teams.

LMBAO!!!!!!!!!!! :D:up Agreed! again?

Has only started 17 games in 3 years...the equivalent of ONE FULL SEASON.

And I wouldn't get too excited to play them twice. Last year, Denver crushed the Raiders 41-14 in Oakland. Then the Raiders went to Denver and stomped them 31-10.....playing Oakland OR KC does not automatically assure you 4 victories.
