I am in the process of replacing an old system that consisted of a DP301 connected to a Dish 500 with a dual 110 & 119 lnb. Everything worked perfectly before decommissioning.

New system consists of VIP211z and a new oval dish with a triple lnb. Wanted more access to HD. I can not seem to get 110 or 119 on the new triple lnb.

Some things I've tried:

1. Connected old dual lnb to reciever and it works perfectly.
2. Installed new triple lnb on dish 500 and switch only indicates 129. Also was able to get 129 on new oval dish. Doesn't pick up 110 or 119. Does this indicate bad lnb?
3. Installed dual lnb on new Turbo HD oval dish but did not have success in obtaining 110 or 119.

Bottom line is that I don't seem to be able to get 110 or 119 on the new triple lnb. Does the VIP 211z have enough power for all 3 lnbs?

For reference I'm in 78962 zip code. Can someone verify my satellite settings.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Darren

Did you run a check switch after you found 129? If you did, the receiver may not see any other sat. Disconnect the coax and run check switch to clear it and do not run the check switch until you have pointed the dish and get all three sats. Let us know if this fixes your problem so we can troubleshoot it more.

I suspect your 1000.2 (?) is just misaligned. Here are the results from DishPointer for a 1000.2 pointed at the Dish Western Arc satellites:

Elevation: 47.7°
Azimuth (true): 219.6°
Azimuth (magn.): 215.9°
Dish Skew: 123.7°

Are the 3 LNBs approximately equally spaced?
