On the Hopper 3:

Whats the best way to find out which satellites # are getting used for my channels?
And check the signal strength for those satellites?

Thanks.
Aloke

PS: Any web site that explains the technologies and terminology used in current systems deployed by Dish? the LNB's? the switches, the voltage injection, MOCA etc?
I can read up on all that before asking more meaningful questions here ...

The list here will tell you which satellites and transponders each channel comes on. And you can go to Point Dish to see its signal strength.

Cool!! Interesting that the satellites involved does not depend on the location of the customer...
It is a lot of searching to ID my specific info ..

Do you think the Dish reps can send me the satellite and transponder # for the following in central Ohio:
Top 120+
Hindi package (south asian)
local channels

When you are watching a channel on the H3 select menu/settings/diagnostics/dish, that will alow you to select tuner, satellite, spotbeam, and see the signal strength you have.

Harmony Touch and Hopper/Joey 3 not working at all
