Genie Go-Is going bye bye

After many headaches and tech calls, I'm sending the Genie Go
back to direc-Good riddance.

Maybe some folks are having luck with it-not me.
Im in no way an idiot when it comes to setting up these devices.
Unit is straight forward. However it would not pick up all recorded
programs.
Sometimes it would pick up nothing.
tried two units-in several different locations in home.
Internet is working fine-hookup with unit no issues.

Spoke to tech- they tried but unit still feels unfinished.
ill stick with Dish everywhere app-its like apple, it just works!

When I switched from Dish recently I got a Belkin @TV box to get the Sling feature I missed with the Hopper. After getting used to it I actually find that it has more stable & reliable connections over my Sling Adapter. I considered the Genie Go but didn't want to deal with the work around to get live tv plus it doesn't seem to have good reviews on this forum. Loving my Belkin.

Here is another option to doing something like the Slingbox, if you want to take the time to build or setup a system for the same thing that the Slingbox does http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=160594 http://www.nextpvr.com/ Plus side is, you can have as much hard drive space as you want, depending on the type of case you use for the unit.

Interesting idea. Unfortunately I'm not that advanced in
Building a system.
I prefer plug and play.
